@fashionisto20 she does not have terrible leg position, she is so consistent with the position i doubt it wasn't on purpose. i really don't think you have the qualifications to be bashing natalia osipova anyways.....
great spead and spotting ... terrible leg position ... and its not russian/vaganova technique ... russian fouettes extend out from retiree a la seconde like rond des jambes en l'air ... while traditional fouettes sweep across from croise to a la seconde and back to retiree ... she probably chose 45 for speed and multiple turns.
the russians changed their way of doing fouettes... going straight from retire to a la seconde, is considered old fashion now. still, some companies do it, and it seems to work just fine.
@shivastotravali it's b/c it's russian technique... they go at a 45 degree angle so that their placement looks better... try it.. it does make fouettes easier... but i agree with you.. 2nd position, 90 degress a la seconde looks better
@porcelain100 It can't just be Russian technique - Zakharova (same company till just recently) hits second with a vengeance in her fouettes (not that I necessarily think it looks any better).
