  • still deeply unflattering accoustics. that building is great for unison but blend finds most unflattering characteristics.

  • The conductor was too concerned with keeping the rhythm rather than directing the dynamics and feeling behind this piece.

  • Beautiful!!!!!!

  • Intonation is not great.

  • I am actually about to do this song this weekend with a choir just smaller then this. I hope to be able to post a video of it on here. It is such a beautiful song.

  • very fine, and not a wallowy tempo. [the director has clearly done more than enough before the performance!!]

  • You all are just fabulous! Well done Well done! It's a difficult piece and you sang it full glorious!

  • One of Harris's most beloved and difficult anthems. Very, very well done, especially through the key changes.

  • A nice attempt. I feel the musical director could try harder though !

    Well done choir.

  • Fine performance considering this has to be one of the most challenging anthems in the Anglican Choral repertoire. Problems sometimes with the choirs Tuning in places and the shift of key modulation. But well handled and sensible tempi !

  • I've sung this anthem and it's gorgeous but challenging--double chorus and sung a capella--it's hard to keep in tune, let alone sing expressively and in such perfect balance. Kudos to the choir for their excellent singing, and thanks for uploading it!

  • Well sung. Very difficult 8 part anthem. Takes me back. Thanks for sharing.

  • Well, English sacred choral music, anyway. :)

There's some Russian sacred stuff I'd gladly put on a playlist with this (and some Vaughan Williams) any day.

The poetry isn't too shabby either!

  • This has to be the most beautiful of all beautiful pieces of choral music ever written.

  • Beautiful church music and challenging to perform. Thank you for the wonderful contribution. Anxious souls in our technological, mad-house of a world, need the ethereal music of historic Christianity.

  • I love this anthem. So wonderful.

Beats 'Bring us, O Lord God' hands down! (A common divisive issue)...

  • I love them both!

  • @edders05 Lately I've been a fan of BUOLG over this. I find it's got all the dynamics, and great prayer packed into a small amount of time. Says it all for me.

  • Quite enjoyed that. Thank you again.

  • Hi! nice movie!! Ha ha it's me laura!
