I watched this video a couple of years ago... And then I was introduced to Hetalia. Now that I'm looking at this video again, it feels a thousand times more amusing because I can imagine the Britain character trying to attack Germany with these experiments!
This might have miserably failed, but the Germans weakness was they always thought in straight lines during wartime - in invention and tactics. The British didn't. Look at the St Nazaire Raid, bouncing bomb, invention of the tank, invention of radar, HMS Argus, Operation Mincemeat, Enigma Machine etc. Honestly, the British armed forces aren't what they were now - but you can at least the equivalent of another half which is provided by the ingenuity of British thinking during wartime.

Not that crazy really because you have to test an idea to see if it works. Edison said his best inventions were 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
Dropping supplies using retro rockets is actually standard for Russian paratroops but they combine them with parachutes.
My favourite wartime plot was that of the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS). They wanted to drop a ton of pornography on Hitlers HQ because they thought it would cause him to loose his reason.
I love that one, if only for imagining the faces of the German gunners who saw this thing roling towards them and the utter WTF moments it would cause
very cool inside look at some engineering blunders by the british during wwII. it would be interesting to see experiments carried out by other countries.
These inventions look like contraction made by ACME that you will see in a cartoon episode of Road Runner and Wile E Coyote.
