Notice at the beginning he says "Fred Goodall, ...was asked by Carroll himself, to produce a car that could go 500 miles for the Goodyear tire test." So Carroll Shelby asked Fred Goodall to produce a car? I think he got a little confused there. Either Carroll Shelby asked Fred Goodall to produce a TIRE, or Frank Goodall asked Carroll Shelby to produce a car. ooooops. I listened to it over and over to verify that I heard that right.
Dude we will try to forgive you on all that bad info lol, priced near a hemi . is it the rarest shelby No,..The AC cobra Fetched 5,500,000 at the Barret Jackson. Dont get me wrong I love this car just hate to see it get sooooo UNderated. And if that one is one of one I don`t see Carol letting someone with so little knowledge drive it! lol
Well Carroll's personal Cobra went for what I believe 5 million?....Soooo i would say this car as rare and documented as it is is well worth 2-3 million?
Well my favorite car was always the early Z28's. I owned a 67 & 69 with a 302 sb. And later on when I met my wife BethAnn I was in my Gold 70 Z28 350 360hp. Which was sold in 2000 to help our son Tristen go to University. And my buddy that owns the Hemi has been Documenting the restoration. And when the Cuda is done early Dec 2010 we will be posting a full video. As for pics of the other cars I restored & owned I have to invest in a scanner....Since there all in Fujichrome.
I'm retired so like I said its more of a hobby. Yes I do make money off some of the restored cars after I sell them.
But as for my buddies 71 Cuda....Its just to help a friend out... although he does pay for stuff like Soda & sand abrassive when we soda blasted the car & powder coating supplies for the parts I powder coat for him.
Not to mention the great meals and free beer he supplies :-)
The only shelby made that might run with the new 2011 but this 67 is ten times better looking than the 2011 .................. they should have made more of them!!
oh yeah dang ole hemi. mopar built the strongest engines in that erra. who wants a 1 of 1 car when it is only a dream? it would be rediculous to drive it because of inverstment. and you heard the guy, its between a 70 and 71 hemi cuda convert.
yeah but heres the thing, this gt500 will only go up in value. Come one of one, no more. Will ALWAYS be worth what you buy it for if not more. A Ferrari will only go down in value. Right when you drive it off the dealer it looses 15% of its price.
That depends on what Ferrari it is. Rare models rise in value only after a few years. Even though they made 1315 F40's they still are two to three times more expensive now as used than they were sold for as new back in 1987-1991.
For your info the most expensive car ever sold in an auction is the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Sold for $12,2 million. As a matter of fact on the top 10 list of most expensive auctioned cars 4 are Ferraris, 2 Bugattis, 2 Mercedes, 1 RollsRoyce,1 Cobra
@greg12m3 if i cud afford that id already could afford 20 ferraris, but wud buy only a 275GTB and another bunch of cars and this! and many houses in different parts of the world ; )
A 275GTB ain't worth nothing compared to a 250GTO. Only 39 of those were ever made. Also the 1957 Ferraru 250 Testa Rossa sold for $12,2 million in an auction. Next was a 1961 250 GT SWB California Spyder for $10,9 million. Back in 1991 a 1962 Ferrari 250GTO was sold for $6,2 million. A 275GTB is worth nothing compared to those. Better stop getting your info of what cars are worth from some bad movies. Google the 10 most expensive auctioned cars ever.
@McLarenMercedes its not the price buddy... its just what i like. i like the 275...thats it.. i never said anything about purchasing the most expensive.. i also used the word 'but' .... cause thats what i meant.. id choose a 275.. take a look at my profile... some pretty expensive cars there.. and rare too ; )
Only 3 427's produced? My uncle purchased a dealer installed 427. He purchased the car at a Ford dealership in Seattle, WA in1966 or early 1967. Is this car a 1 of 3?
@ceswert Chances are it wasn't. What the guy in the video means is that there were only 3 that came directly from Shelby Motors with 427's in them. Even that number is debatable. There were numerous "dealer installed" 427's, the most famous of them coming from Tasca Ford in Rhode Island. There were various reasons for these "installs", ranging from the dealer knowing that they were superior, to them replacing blown up 428 P.I.'s. These dealer installs are fully documented and quite valuable.
this is one of my top 3 dream cars ( along with mcalren f1 lm, and 09 ultimate aero tt ) it is just amzaing ive drove a '67 gt500 but i think the super snake is just in a class of its own even compared to the regualer gt500's
Of course the super snake is in a class of its own.. There is only one! This car is sex on wheels!! I would die just to have a chance to drive this legendary car.. let alone own it..
Also what i heard the today's supersnake has major disadvantage or bad news that the warranty has been broken?! This means "I you break it, There's nothing can be done about it"
So no one ever priced this car since it was "1 of 1" Built... I uh ...hmm its a legend..i dont think anybody would 2nd own it..other than Shelby.. So there is no certain price for this car..
A car, house or kite is only worth what a fool with too much cash and no sense of direction will folly into.
Sorry, you are very mistaken on a few things. I love the car & am a ford nut but you need to breath a little slower. your museum piece is very impractical in general so think again on it.
im saying is this Supersnake of 1967is a way better deal then the new Shelby ss how are you going to have 725hp and still running a 11 ahahah i can do that with a 03 cobra with pulleys and exhaust ahahh and still save my money and when it comes down to the new so called muscle cars vs the old ones the old ones would spank the new ones the old ones dont need a supercharger to run a decent 12 secs or better and the price the dud e in the video said its was 3 mill dumbass
So he never said how much is it worth ? 3Mil ? ,,, what Hemi crap ? You can't compare Shelby to Hemi
