how do you know if you should consider it? For me it's really only one side of the Labia that I would say is a bit long and causes some problems like getting sore and raw while wearing pads, and occasional discomfort during sex

@cicada300 It really depends upon the shape of the lip on that side and the nature of your problems. It sounds like it might be worth having yourself evaluated by a good surgeon. Surgery is not the answer for everyone but can help the right woman.

I had my lips reduced by Dr D several years ago in the OC. You could have used my pictures Dr D! I have absolutely no regrets and everything is working fine I might add. Those who say loss of feeling and even pain happen probably went to a Dr Quack. I went to the best and am forever grateful. Thanks Dr D!

Dr. D, thank you for all that you do. I have been uncomfortable with the size of my labia ever since I hit puberty, I never felt like they should belong on my body, they hang more than an inch down from me. They provide no pleasure and only get in the way of sexual activity. I do, however, like the sort of circular shape mine take if you look at them from the profile angle. I'd like to preserve this natural shape (I don't want a linear labiaplasty). So wedge will accomplish this?

@roguehearts I would have to take a look. "Wedges" tend to flatten and bring the lip into the fold which is desirable to some women. They also hurt less than "Trims" in general.

I would say it isn't Ladies magazines that cause a woman's insecurities than it is a Man's magazine.

When I was younger I remember reading in Seventeen that women and our "parts" come in all shapes and sizes. However it was in a man's magazine that I notices that all "parts" looked incredibly similar (thank you airbrushed labias).

Whatever the reasons though I do support a woman's right to choose to have a Labiaplasty if she wants even if I would not.

@edwardtagg figures u would be a guy saying that sorta thing. Having large inner lips can affect a lot more than you think. Certain clothing can be uncomfortable and sometimes even make the lips visible to others (yoga pants etc.) they can become irritated and activities like walking can be painful. Every step is a reminder of the problem. They can make sex difficult and uncomfortable. Imagine a girl in highschool that sleeps with a guy for the 1st time. Next thing you know, this poor girl is b

I didn't even know this existed! when I found out it was trough a magazine and it made me feel like crap because it was done for looks not for health reasons! I have had problems with mine since I hit puberty.. I thought I just had to deal with it for life. I dont want to have it completely removed just a small snip on my left one because it hurts all the time!!! its unconformable during intercourse and when wearing jeans.
