  • Yo Leumas, would it be possible to get a copy of this video, should you ever decide to take it down?

  • Ok...I was just looking for a metal band called Fimbulwinter...ha ha...

...but, this is pretty awesome, guys...I wish I had some of your toys...

I'm over here, listening to Alex Collier...but, you guys are already out there exploring the nebula!!

    Awesome!

  • 1:10, is that a maelstrom?

  • That's the Damnation, the Maelstrom is the first big ship going down.

  • No, the first ship at the very begninning is, the long ship with the tall wings in the top n bottom

  • Nice explosion indeed @ 4:45.

    Poor Maelstrom

  • bad mael :S 1500 dps is np for a mael to handle

  • yeah, i fly one, it's a BS eater

  • Wow it's the first time I saw these tournament videos.

    Cool stuff.

What were the rules to make a fleet? Were you limited to a certain balance of quantity/size? Like warhammer point-based system?

  • Yes very similar. Limited amount of points and different ships are worth different amounts. (And their advanced versions are worth more points)

  • The main difference in this tourney was that you were limited to a team of 7 preset pilots. It had a point based system, however you could only field 1 BS or Command ship and only 1 of each type of t2 cruiser. There were no restrictions on faction cruisers, they counted the same as a t1 cruiser, hence our strategy based on navy vexors.

  • Despite a few scratches: Flawless victory

  • lol damnation is a missile ship lmao, of course no guns

  • Actually, this was before the Khanid changes, so it was turret based at the time :)

  • @huambo u realize that Damnantion was Missile Boat Khanid Change added the other command ship

  • @DudesInternetEmpire I'm pretty sure Leumas was more on the ball then you were back then. I'll take his word for it.

  • That maelstrom had some weak ass tank, looked like he went down before even the nos could have its full effect, might just have been the editing in the video however.

  • The Navy Vexors were doing the same damage as 2 gank fitted megathrons, plus Fimbulwinter didn`t seem to have their remote repping in place. So 2400dps + Maelstrom = death :)The video is as i downloaded it, and as it was on the day, there is no editing.

  • All the damage were on the Maelstrom from the getgo. The Rifter was taken out by the Damnations light drones alone as an added bonus and was never primary.

  • Role players. tut tut

  • awesome wtf pwn

  • no, this maelstrom pilot is a noob. how can he lose

  • Thanks for the comment, a 4 cruiser setup may seem weak but each one is packing nearly 500 dps. Also our tank was inpenetrable from their point of view, combined with the nos from the command ship.

It was a risky setup, but i think it worked well.

  • u bet it worked well, u slauthered the other team.

  • The Maelstrom never locked any one of us, thats what 5 dampers does to a battleship.

  • BS's aren't always win buttons mind you

  • Back in the day they where. I truly miss that.

  • The Winter 2006 Tourney used a point system, instead of the setup from the Summer Tournament

  • Why didn't Fimbulwinter have there 5th? Good setup really works

  • Nos tank? Awseome idea right there
