I attended Kamiakin '92-'95. At the time, Conner was the only teacher, I mean ONLY that seemed to love what he did. Granted, this is through pre-pubescent eyes, but the fact that he stayed at KJH for another /thirteen years/ after I left should vouch for his dedication. He taught math, and told me I'd be a great writer someday. Funny as that sounds, it turns out he was right. How bizarre is that? From the one that got away, Happy Retirement. "May the bluebirds of happiness sing polkas forever!!"
Mr. Conner was my Algebra teacher way back in 1981, and I still remember some of the stuff he did for our class back then.
He was a great teacher, and one of the inspirations I had for getting into teaching. I've now been teaching for 15 years, and it's sad to see that Mr. Conner is not a part of my old junior high, Kamiakin. Just happened to come across this video while doing a YouTube search for "Kamiakin" - what a pleasant surprise!
He was "feelin' it". He did it at the end of the dress rehersal, and Mr. B said "when are you going to do that in the concert" and so he thought he'd do it then... but, bummer, the lights didn't go that far. If you look hard, he's still rockin' on the side.
He was/is legendary! What an awesome person, and amazing teacher! He made math class something to look forward to everyday!

The lead guitar was terrible. Why doesn't this dude let a kid play lead guitar and/or sing. And please, no rocking in sandles...please.

This was the most memorable act. but this year we ended the show by throwing 4000 bouncy balls for an end of the school year prank

I wish I had a teacher like that, I've never heard the lead guitar played like that. They did one hell of a job
