She's an Utauloid, which is sorta like the fan version of Vocaloid. Utau is a freeware program with a number of downloadable fanmade/voiced voice packs. Basically allows freesharing and for you to create your own.

What's the difference between a vocaloid and an UTAU? Just curious.

Vocaloid is an official, professional program, and the compnay that made it designs MOST of the characters, with the exceptions being spin-off characters (ie Mikuo). UTAU is a freeware program in which the user download different voice banks and even create their own. A little less user-friendly, but about 100 times the awesome IMO, 'cause it really allows the user freedom to create.

Sorry, can some one who knows about Vocaloid help me? I know that Vocaloids has at least 2 generations and is a computer soft ware system that changes the lyrics to their voice. However, is there more? And UTAU is a fan-fic characters right? All together (vocaloid/UTAU) how many characters are there (and what are their names)? And are GUMI and Megpoids related to Vocaloids?

For Vocaloid, there are the English ones (Lola, Leon, Miriam, Sweet Anne, Big Al, Prima...) and the Japanese ones (MEIKO, KAITO, Miku, Rin, Len, and so forth) I'd say /at most/ there could be about twenty vocaloids out? UTAUs are actually voice banks made by users and posted online to be downloaded by whoever. It's like a free version of Vocaloid with hundreds of voices to download. For free.
