  • Excellent advice. According to Yale's David Swensen, in his book "Unconventional Success: A Fundamental Approach to Personal Investing", studies on frequent rebalancing versus no rebalancing indicate that over time a performance advantage of about 1% per year is possible, so frequent routine, rebalancing is a worthwhile investor activity.
