  • LoL Kotomine and Kiritsugu are literally described as each others Nemesis in the novel, there is no better word to describe them.

  • the woman's voice reminds me of an older Sakura or Caster though...

  • Wow, now that should be hard to deal with. Being like that and unable to find satisfaction in life...

  • glaring error in translation, she says, "no you do love me" hence the see, you're crying part

wow this guy's beyond a dick, he should have killed himself

  • @umeboshi110 It's entirely possible that was one of the many lines changed in the PS2 version (the translated text is based entirely on the PC version), hence why the voice (which is from the PS2 version) wouldn't match the text at all (there are countless instances of this throughout... and yeah, it gets pretty annoying sometimes). I'm not about to go out of my way to install the PC version in Japanese and go through and find this specific line to check on that possibility, though.

  • @umeboshi110 I wouldn't say Kotomine is a dick at all, there was something wrong with him from the very beginning, but unlike a dick, he tried his hardest to prove it wrong, turned to religion, tried to do good, tried to bring himself to love others, but no matter what he couldn't. I think that HF actually made me start to pity Kirei. In UBW and Fate I hated his guts, but HF made me think a bit actually. He's just as sick and twisted, but I can't bring myself to hate him after this portrayel.

  • @vc180191 yeah, he's tragic. that's why he's wondering WHY he was born this way, it makes no sense. He would be good but that doesn't make him happy, and being a troll makes him hate himself for how good it feels.

  • @umeboshi110 He wasn't a dick on purpose like Kiritsugu. He was born BROKEN. He tried to change so hard but he was fucked up since birth. He hated it.

  • so er zabaniya has effects on servants?and is there a story about kotomine's wife anywhere?

  • I'm not sure what you're getting at with that first question, but...

I can't really remember how much his wife's story is brought up elsewhere, but I do know that she actually committed suicide just to try and prove to Kirei that he cared for her with her own death. And the briefly-mentioned daughter is an important character in Fate/hollow ataraxia (I'm fairly sure that's where I got that more specific clarification from, but it's been a while).
