  • driver "does any one have AAA mine ran out"

  • There's more snow on the top of that plow that what I will probably ever see in a lifetime here in Florida.

  • well as most don't know.... snow can pack up around the rail, and speed can derail a train

usually trains are limited in speed when plowing. should have been using a rotory

  • Go faster!

  • Get out the shovels...

  • Any idea how many hp they were using with all three of the engines pushing, and then the six it took to pull it back out of the drift?

  • That's an attempt at some serious snow removal! Never seen anything like it. The diesels sound sweet in the cold air.

    Great video

  • Another video of a train burying itself in the snow and getting stuck:

    /watch?v=T4EJyDrFLfY

  • @Knsgf

    Shitty qaulity russian movie

  • ahahahaha

  • they need a snow blower instead of a plow

  • Well, I'm Canadian, so, there must be some resolution! We get snow like that on a regular basis, so they must we must have some way of dealing with removal?!

  • grab a shovel

  • Sounds amazing.

  • I have AAA they can use. Wow never seen anything like that before.

  • anyone have a shovel?!?!?

  • They should of had three of the big ones and a small one and cars for some more mass and got that bitch going like 70 and hit it.

  • Can't they just back up 1/2 a mile, speed up, and ram through again?

  • @1985landrover those are 20 year old plus diesels engines. Not pumping out same power they used to. British rail doesn't have to push snow around so You should shut your yap on who's got better engines.

  • @BBVCorvettec62005 EWS Class 66s have been seen pushing snow with a network rail snow plow.

  • @1985landrover EWS class 66's are 12-cylinder variants of the very diesels you see here.

  • These american trains are weak compared to British Rail locomotives.

  • Hearing those giant diesels with those turbos is all the music I need to hear....IT sounds AWESOME!!!

  • I guess it's time for add another thousands of HP train.

  • #hashtags work?

  • shouldnt it be going like 100mph with a tidle wave of snow in front

  • in soviet russia you dont plow snow snow plow you

  • that must have been a hell of a drift

  • Looks Like SP Engines?? They are They are LOL and the genius got Stuck wow must be a yank driving em

    captchas suck : slatinsel

  • Looks Like SP Engines?? They are They are LOL and the genius got Stuck wow must be a yank driving em

  • Looks Like SP Engines??

  • Use the boost to get through!

  • Theres no fuckin backin out of that. Didnt think that bitch could get stuck with all the momentum...

  • Now this is the kind of situation where a Rotary proves its usefulness....plows & spreaders are great for the wide open spaces, but in banked areas,

the rotary is the tool of choice...especially with long and deep drifting like here.

  • WOW. What to do now! Cant it back out and hit it again?

  • @starlite2991

It was entrenched in the snow, they had to bring out some more "Power", which means they brought out some more engines to pull it out.

  • heez gawt uh foor tewer!

  • they need a rotary snow plow me thinks

  • not enough hp

  • BACK DAT AS UP!!!!!!! JUVENILE

  • What's the Uh-Oh about? Just back out and hit it again.

Oh. Can'they use shovels and dig out the wheels enough to back out?

  • next time try mr plow, that name again is mr plow

  • I love the sound of those turbo chargers ! What's the HP on each of those units?

  • @BelgianEvo The front two units are SD45T-2 at 3600hp each. I think the red unit on the back is an SD40 at 3000hp.

  • @formidable38 : Nice ! That's a hell allot of power then :)

  • i would go back alot and then gather alot of speed

  • why did he slow down @ the beginning?

  • i would reverse, then hit it with a bit more speed

  • wanker.

  • wow I never thought about what a train does during the winter. :) Thanks for showing us (me). :)

  • listen to those turbos spool down.....

  • If there were cars behind it, the sudden change in speed would have caused a serious wreck, but it's ok, they would've toppled over into a powdery snow pillow. Just grab another engine, drop some sand on the tracks and give it another shot.

  • i really wanna stand next to one of those and get dumped by snow!

  • did it try reversing?

  • Move over, superman.... All it takes to stop this speeding train is some snow!

  • ah hell, jus get behind it with that 6.0L Powerstroke I hear. that'll push it through! lol

  • wow great awesome

  • holy fucking shit thats alot of snow

  • i was wondering what if ther is so much snow on one side like higher than the other and when the train ploughs thru it, snow on the sides pushes at the train therefore roling it over ??

  • 42 people were in the train that was supposed to come next and didn't make it home on time....

  • Why didnt they get out of the train and push it through?

  • at what point do the wheels friction weld to the tracks? is there a procedure for this?

  • LOL all the snow is built up along that hill, Move the tracks where theres less snow

  • That's it....get Chuck Norris!

  • try a little ice melt behind the rear wheels.....

  • @mharrop396 Yep, several thousand horsepower isn't quite enough, we need a couple engineers to push... LoL

  • Alright everyone. We're gonna have to get out and push.

  • no reverse when the wheels are just spinning

  • Man those train sound awesome spooling down! Are those gas turbine or diesel? sounds like gas turbine to me.

  • @TheCottonTop no diesel electric with a turbo

  • @TheCottonTop

    green leaker

  • @TheCottonTop Diesel. 16 cylinder, two stroke cycle uniflow scavenged diesel engines, with hybrid turbos that are crankshaft driven up to notch 5-6.

  • @silicon212 scratch that, make them 20 cylinder engines not 16 (the two SP units).

  • Man those train sound awesome spooling down!

  • can he just reverse and go threw it again? and i dont see what else he could of done besides go faster to go threw it lol and dam if he had more cars behind it then he would of got threw it with the extra weight

  • we got a 4 2er

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up, If you feel sorry for the dude driving that thing. I bet he feels well embarrassed.

  • instead of just talking about it.... how about go push!!

  • To get the job done right I wudda used some gevo's

  • shit..... hey get the shovel were stuck

  • detorit diesel power all the way baby.....lol nothing like emd locomotives at work....in the sun and snow....lol

  • detorit diesel power all the way baby.....lol

  • Did someone say "Stucked it" at :42?

  • Gun er', JUST FUCKIN GUN ER DUDE.

  • i like the part when the train gets stuck

  • they shoulda used the big blower i think

  • the turbos in those SD40s mixed with the GP38's non turbo is amazing

  • i used to live in limon colorado.

  • I like the part when the train is in the snow....

  • I bet the engineer was like ..... "FUCK!"

  • @kraigcassida Actually I said titties

  • @kraigcassida i think it was more like i cant whip this bitch like its my truck so call in some more units!

  • yeah i think the train needs to get some chains or something and there going to need more than an average tow rope to get this thing out

  • yeah i think the train needs to get some chains or something

  • @plumbers69 They're jet turbine engines bro..

  • @jeff20453 Jet turbine engines huh? Pretty sure most of them are diesel-electric these days.

  • @71SS565 ha i see where you're coming from but i mean't jet fuel powered turbine. They aren't powered buy the same kind of turbos you find in a car.

  • @jeff20453 They use to have turbine powered gas electrics in the 50's-60's. The turbo's on diesel loco's are mostly clutch turbo's. There is no jet fuel powered turbine in a diesel electric.

  • @71SS565 Looks like you're right haha you know your shit. I learn something new everyday.

  • @jeff20453 Haha, line of us have worked at BNSF in my family. Hell, old mans got some pistons out of a SD40-2 and some other parts we snagged when they were pullin apart ruined motors. Cool stuff.

  • @jeff20453 no they are not

  • @jeff20453 Negative, Ghostrider. 16 cylinder two stroke diesels with hybrid turbochargers.

  • Looks like Southern Pacific needs to invest in some snow shovels.

  • real nice video i thoght nothing could stop a train

  • a real man would get out there with a shovel

  • Mess with the best, die like the rest...

  • So much power...

  • Ну как? Откопали))?

  • wow that is some horsepower there!! but nature always wins!

  • @valendos... HAHA You are so much right......

  • The good part is those SP units are not patched XD

  • chuck norris is OLD and gay and so are the jokes...

  • wheres chuck norris when u need him

  • Duh! I never thought about trains and snow. I just assumed...

I went over to your little website, too. Really appreciate the work you guys did to share this with people like me, who otherwise would never know this aspect of the great lore of railroads. :-)

  • That sounds soo epic.. but probably not a good sound. :\

  • I don't know anything about trains, or train plows or whatever. But I think train plows should be heated, so when it hits the snow, the heat melts it enough to move faster, so less stress on the train, or when it gets stuck, turn up the heat and start moving again.

  • @MrPacMan36 That is a interesting idea, but I think it's unnecessary. Soon after people realized the plow's shortcomings over a hundred years ago, someone invented a rotary snowplow... which is the precursor to the snow blower my neighbor used today.

  • why didnt they turn on teh turbo BEFORE they hit that monster drift?

  • @itube141 If they go too fast, I think they would have derailed instead. There is no way for the snow to go on far end, it seems, since theres a berth there.

  • @itube141 you dont turn a turbo on

  • is it GM locomotives??

  • @TigerDude84 nope

  • @itube141 ok just sounds like GM thanks

  • @TigerDude84 If you mean GM, like EMD, then yes all three are Gm/EMD. The lead 2 units are tunnel motors, the third I'm not sure.

  • dumm gelaufen...aber geiler Sound ;)

  • 1337 thumbs up ^^

  • @plumbers69

the sound of a proper turbo is one of the best sounds in the world! and these are quite a few turbo's which makes it even better!

  • so who won a car?

  • 0:42 funny to hear the sounds of the motor shutting down... by any chance how did the locomotive pull out I suppose there would be too much frictional force from all the snow around to back it out?

  • LOOK AT MY VIDEO Dude's Car Gets Owned By Snowplow !!!

  • They need a few more locomotives

  • why haven't they ploved the snow the hole season, next you filming is it only 1 inch snow

  • Gonna have to start shoveling ;)

  • do you know the train schedule to make these videos?

  • Call a tow truck.

  • gotta love them turbo's hissing !!

  • now what?...spring?

  • That was chuck Norris's igloo

  • @321boileranimal fail.

  • i dont think it would of stoped if it had a big load

  • @crackcrackkorn if you can figure out why you're an idiot i'll give you a cookie.

  • @facewrecker5 I see you’ve set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public

  • @crackcrackkorn oooooor.... It would have derailed/jackknifed/damaged the train. Maybe you should but a greater load on your car when you wanna drive through a concrete wall? Might just get you trough right?

  • that is amazing to watch

  • Even the mighty train no match for Nature

  • w cywilizowanych krajach uzywa sie plugow wirnikowych. az dziw, ze oni murzynow do odsniezania nie uzwaja juz.

  • gotta call a few sd70aces or gevos.

  • '

once forward then go back again and go forward harder again

  • I just love the sound of those turbos!

  • @jednoucelovy There's something very unique and amazing about the sound of turbos on those locomotives - they really do sing when the notch them up!!

  • That train is wearing the Lich King's face.

  • I know how to get that baby unstuck, use a Chevy!! I recommend a awsome Silverado.

  • WOW!

  • what year was this taking?? 2 unpatched SP tunnel motors! Crazyy!!

  • maybe if we backed up for a min, then went forward for a min :P

  • Go call the other train that went through without a snow plow...

  • Where is this needed? I've never seen more than 5 feet of snow!!! what happened??

  • - How do you get them out? Get more power?

    - Yip. :D:D:D:D:D

  • damn!!! when waz this storm? i didn't know we ever got that much snow here in eastern colorado.

  • "ring, ring" - click

"what do you mean you're ALL stuck ?"

    .........

"did you bring a bucket and spade ?"

  • a dodge ram coulda made it

  • @greenarcticcat400 hahaha that was a funny joke

  • dang even though he got stuck look how far that thing traveled

  • that was some deep snow, surpised he made it that far

  • looks like a job for chuck norris.

  • @spungie85 all chuck norris would need is a rolled up twenty and all that would be gone

  • @spungie85 Chuck Norris only have to look at the snow and then the snow will melt... HAHA

  • @deeredrengen

Are you kidding? Snow wouldn't dare fall where Chuck Norris wouldn't want it to to begin with... Snow is as afraid of Chuck Norris as the wind is.

  • @spungie85..Chuck norris is a pussy

  • @spungie85 Chuck can sit at home and wank.

  • i work for the rail road never seen anything like this , Thanks...

  • imagine calling your boss to tell him you just got a train stuck!

  • Thank god I live in Florida.

  • should have got stuck in the ford

  • "you better porer to er" roflmao
