I think sometimes people look fare to closely at what equipment they have and loose sight of the reason people dance is because of the music you play. Sure the lights energise people but it is a lot about play lists reading the crowed and I think they call it programming. Your set sounded great and the crowed seem to love it good job.
read below first. Go for active speakers mackie to a great set used by the pros which are not too expensive. Also do away with your remote control for you lights, go and get a DMX controller and program them and put on a real light show its longer to set up but better. I am sure you are getting a lot of gigs because you are charging a competitive to cheap price (no bad thing) what are you chargingfor an evening gig?
@groundzful Thanks for the comments mate! A new sound system is on it's way in the next few weeks. Not going for active speakers! Just not for me at the moment. The speaker system/systems that i use work great for all the gigs i do! Thought i would give this one a try to see what it's like to give myself an idea of what to go for. As for a dmx controller i think for your avrage disco its a waste of time. So venues you only have 30min to setup. If i wanted to go dmx which at some point i will
@groundzful i would go for something like my dmx but i dont have time to be messing around with that. I think the light show im using at the moment works great but of course there is always room for improvment. As for pricing i havent changed my prices at all! I dont charge a cheap rate which would be a bad thing. I charge anything from £140 to £160 for a nights work. Most of my bookings now come from word of mouth + i am also doing a lot of hires. Thanks for the comments
well done then, Cant believe you only get 30 mins to set up, no wonder no DMX it can take a long time with the cables, although does give that extra. Why no active, I used passive the advantage of active no need for amps any more you can just keep going to increase the volume when playing at larger gigs by adding speakers, of course its always about what you prefer and they do tend to be more expensive. well done on gigs thats a fair price for your part of country,
Hi been following your videos because I find them quite amusing. First of all well done for the amount gigs you get and the amount that you have developed a credit to you and especially. However I find it surprising you have not invested in a decent sound system yourself yet, you should be there by now! If you want to take it further then you will need to invest so that you can start playing to larger crowds
@DjMazz91 I have had them for comming up three years and love them! Would recomend them 100% have them at almost every gig. I am soon upgrading to some propper scanners but will still be keeping these for another setup! Just love them lol
with 18 in subs and 15 tops thhe sound will be so crisp and so low end to where the sound precision is out of this world. I use a setup like this and agree it's almost too much to some venue, but for a college party it's PERFECT. I use a dual 15 with 21 subs and I use this setup with school gyms and outside venue's but boy what a sound.
This is a definate investment and the sound would be memorable
@Djsilverodoet Hi mate, I have to agree 100% i am going to get some subs! That sound system worked well in that venue along with the light show and yer the dance floor was busy all week! Thanks very much for the comments!
@ljmmobilediscos no problem , your small rig is really smart , love the wharfedale speakers very nice , looking at getting a small set of wharfedales for my room
