  • i finally found a plane i could land on my roof

  • I want to see it take off!

  • The German BND is the ex 3rd Reich GESTAPO and had organized delegate Scheuermann of our county to visit or home.To allow him to personally see how my brother and our parents was tortured. The BND continued to torture my brother. He was assassinated on July 11th2009.Half a year later the CDU delegate Mappus from our district town Pforzheim was made prime minister of the German land of Baden Würtemberg

The CDU is the ruling party in Germany

  • @wwwtotalitaerde Why the crap is this posted here?

  • @t110d93 Why the crap are you posting on my page?

  • and now stay tuned for takeoff LMAO

  • @Vorox144 Yes! I'm veeeery curious to see how the hell this thing will take off from a carrier deck. Have you all ever seen a C-130 taking off? I bet you have!

  • @SermanRoy I've some prior C-130 experience (nothing much past intro training, and not my current airframe), so maybe I can help you out.

The aircraft in the vid can have RAT, also known as JATO or RATO (depending on the service). Essentially rockets mounted to the aft of the fuselage.

Combine that with the carrier at full power into a moderate headwind (40 knots total headwind easily!), the C-130 engines at max TRT, and a light fuel load - getting a C-130 off the deck is actually doable!

  • @AquaticRapture Thanks mate. Glad to hear from another pilot. Very good information. It sounds very interesting and impressive yet worth to see. Do you know if there is any video available?

  • But does it blend?

  • "Look Ma. No Hook!"

    LOL

  • Good luck taking off

  • @TomPetersonXc They can do it.

  • now try to take off!

  • Now take off

  • THAT THING BRAKES FASTER THAN MY JEEP

  • "Great job guys we got this big bird on the carrier! Now.... how do we get it off?"

  • How did they get it off?

  • imagin if the people were stupid enough to think it was a c-5

  • Incredible footage !!

  • the great thing about a carrier is its able to turn into the wind =)

  • Funny accent, sounds "All American" but then he says some words like a britisher

  • @tosgem Britisher? What? First of all, there is no such thing is a british accent , that's the most common mistake made by americans, what you're hearing most of the time when you think it's a brit accent is a quintisential english accent. Britain is comprised of england, ireland scotland and wales.

    Secondly...seriously? Britisher?

  • @Antifaith29 Too right, I think there are more accents in Britain than there is in America.

  • @Antifaith29 You have to excuse my dumbass fellow American I guess he doesnt realize that long ago we used to be...umm....*clears throat* britishers. (Oh god It even hurts to say.)

  • @tosgem sorry...I cant hear you over our FREE HEALTH CARE!

  • @HomerJEDL oh thats mean. Dont bash us US citizens because our government is re-fucking-tarded

  • @fishnut89 you're right. Although it only did one landing and one takeoff, not Continuous service, it still holds the record

  • The C-130 is still in use by the USMC... They just stopped ordering new ones, I jumped from one in 2006...

  • i like lemon

  • I didn't know that was even possible.

  • not gonna lie that was fuckin sweet

  • why do people upload videos at cellphone resolution (160x120)?

  • @McFixStuff Do you realize how old that video is? The cell phone, personal computer and the internet had not been invented yet when that test was run.

  • @McFixStuff cell phone ROFLMAO that was done in the late 60's or early 70's with an actual video camera. the reason you dont see this happen except in testing or EXTREME emergencies is the C-130 wing span is too damm big

  • @truckerjay1 ...Far as I know...this was only done for short time period of testing and evaluation awhile back! It is cool as hell to see this clip!

BTW: 20yr. Retired Navy Veteran (did a tour of duty in an Aircraft Carrier in late 80's)!

  • The C-130 can reverse the pitch on the the blades. If you've ever seen the Blue Angels, you've seen "Fat Albert" land in about 350 ft. They probably did not use arrestor cables for this landing. (Notice that there is no abrupt nose drop) With the Carrier at Flank speed into the wind, and with a RAT (Rocket Assisted Take-off) system, they can be off the deck in a couple hundred feet.

  • @dcorman A C-130 doesn't have an arresting hook, so taking a wire wasn't an option. They are designed for short field landings, which are made much shorter when the field is doing 35+ knots into the wind. Takeoff: same idea. Not as hard when your airfield provides a big chunk of takeoff speed.

  • @flyrod6057 I know, I was responding to another comment :)

  • @flyrod6057 not to mention theyre able to strap rockets on it to make the landing stop almost on a dime.

  • @WatchdogDisciple They don't use rockets to stop. Only for takeoff, and even then, it's extremely rare.

  • @flyrod6057 I know they don't use them. I was only stating that they have that ability. And yes it is rare. Biggest reason why is because they don't need them. Hell the C130 can land on a carrier like in the vid and then take off almost right from the same exact spot. Im just saying the rockets would make it that much more crazy.

  • When you have a stall speed of 80mph, its amazing where you can land, including the uss forestfire

  • @aloozer the c-130 doesn't use the traps only brakes.

  • how strong are those fricking arresting cables...my god

  • @aloozer No arresting gear were used for that test.

  • After watching this video, I've also believe in Santa Claus.

  • Yeah those carriers can give you a 25 + knot headwind, plus whatever breeze in blowing. Plus it looks almost empty - they can leap into the air when light.

  • oh yea. it didn't use the catapult. and this is a C-130A model so it is not setup for jato.

  • it did take back off. do a search for c-130 carrier takeoff.

  • The first ever c-130 carrier landing has taken place! Now the us navy are in negotiations for how to get her off the carrier!

  • @dskxalive They can get it off with a clear deck and a strong headwind. It is a worthless capability when trying to run flight operations because it renders the rest of the deck inoperable.

  • could i have one as a toy?....please?...

  • Does anyone happen to know how much weight a catapult can physically take before breaking? This plane obviously is much heavier than anything else (D'OH! I know, just didn't know another way to say it).

  • @336kgf This USMC C-130 did touch & go's, landings and take-offs unassisted (no tail hook & arrestor hooks, no catapult launch) twenty something times. Though I'm not from the USN, I'd say those cat shots only go up to about 35 tons because that's just above the highest max take-off weight I've seen for all the Navy planes ever since they flew jets, this being the lovely classic F-14 at 33+ tons, with the Super Hornet coming second at just under 30 tons. But don't take my word for it.

  • @Nighthawk117 Still, to see a Herc get launched would have been rather cool to see.

  • dose it have cup holders?

  • @Lola10221989 Yes, Very small ones on the pilot/ copilot shelves

  • @Lola10221989 Yes!

  • owd they get it off is the real question!

  • the c-130 with is still in use in certain variations has been fitted with rockets to allow it to take off from a football field a aircraft carrier with a catapult launch system is cake for a c-130.

  • That's a whole mess of porn being delivered right there.

  • I find this video hard to masturbate to

  • @kurruptt1

lol no one gave you a thumbs up you little meme bitch

  • @TurkishHegemony

What a cry baby... you get angst over you tube video comments? What has the world come to.

  • Greased it right on in!!!! SWEEEEEET!!!

  • that is awesome

  • Yup they did it a crazy 20 times the aircraft is at Pensacola NAS Navy Aviation Museum

  • It would be cool to put a forward firing mac gun on that thing, trouble is...... Do magnetic cannons recoil?

  • All the stuff that the Air Force do to freakin C-130s...they should put rail attachments on them...like a gun...and have me buy one....i can put a Holographic sight on my C-130....haha

  • Amazing, never thought C -130 could land on any carriers.

  • Jato

  • ok now take it off :D

  • yeah not alot of problems that could happen here lol

  • to all those putting up questions here how the C130 took off again - how about, after watching the video "C130 carrier landing, taking a look at "C130 carrier take off". it's at the bar to your right hand side. now, isn't that a solution?

  • its easy to land a c-130. solution fly in to the wind with the carrier driving into the wind at the same time!

  • The pilot must have very big balls :))

  • The catapult in a Carrier can throw a car 16 kms :D

  • Carrier Has Arrived

  • is it AC-130? x_X im confused

  • @enzkie044 No it said in the video its a C-130 F but they are both variations of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules

  • @enzkie044 you play too much call of duty

  • It takes off by reversing, pushing the throttle forwards, and then pulling back on the stick, doesn't need the catapult or anything, Hercs have insanely short take off distance

  • Ok, Now how is it suppose to take off?

  • ok, how big was the deck, cause the wingspan of a Hercules is huge.

  • Is this the largest plane to land on a carrier?

  • Ok , that's frick'n awsome.

Now how do the plan to take off again ?

  • @Herbymac0811 Launch.

  • @CubesForAKid I know the Hurk has a short take off distance but it aint that short, and there's no way the cat is gonna throw that thing off the deck and into the air .

  • @CubesForAKid I take back what I just said !

  • @Herbymac0811 JATO bottles (Jet Assisted Take Off)

  • @Herbymac0811 Actually, they just did a normal takeoff without cats or anything.

  • @Herbymac0811 from the catapult

  • @Herbymac0811 Steam Powered Catapults. the same that launch the F/A 18, E2 Hawkeye, P3 Orion, EA6-B Prowler off the Flight deck. I am ABH3 (Aviation Boatswains mate, Handling, 3rd class Petty Officer) in the U.S. Navy. in short, an aircraft director. i've directed all these aircraft i mentioned to launches and to parking after landing hundreds of times. i've done it for 4 years so far, I'm 23 and I'm making it my career. It never gets boring!

  • @Herbymac0811 The C-130 was tested for carrier operations, and while it was possible to use it together with carriers, it was deemed to risky.

  • @Herbymac0811 most likly alot of headwind

  • @Herbymac0811 Look in the related videos, :PpPpPpPp

  • @Herbymac0811 people look I love airplanes, I know they got it back in the air again there is a video showing it ! The comment was written as a joke !

  • @Herbymac0811 I think they take it back to shore to take off again or else they amp up the pressure on the slingshot and hope for the best

  • @Extra300SRedBull If the carrier does 40 kts into a 20 kt headwind the C130 could probably take off with like 20 kts additional airspeed.

  • @Herbymac0811 They call that a JATO takeoff.

  • @Helge129 They didn't have JATO back then though.

  • @11Sparky111 JATO has been around since WW2, or WW1 even.

  • @Herbymac0811 Back it up and go. There was no arresting gear or provisions for catapult bridals, nor JATO bottles. There should be a video of the whole operation if you look. From what I remember these were all light weight trials. I wonder how it would go fully loaded.

  • @Herbymac0811 STEAM POWERED CATAPULT......

  • @DiEGO2DaBAY Nope. Watch the other video. All they did was go to the back of the deck, turn the ship into the wind, both ship and plane went to full power, and off the deck it went =)

  • @Herbymac0811 mabe it`s stil on that aircraft carrier

  • @Herbymac0811 Catapults, there built into the deck. Can sling most planes from 0-150 in around 2 seconds

  • @snooter28 Actually a C-130 has no Launch bar in the front, they more than likely used JATO or Jet Assisted Take Off rockets to aid it in getting back in the air.

  • @snooter28 Wow, I'm pretty sure the catapults are meant for smaller planes not for an Hercules.

  • @starbreez3 Well I'm sure they can use it to assist the plane with taking off, It alone cant do it, but with the engine, some rockets assisting, and the catapult. They probably could.

  • @snooter28 Well I think you're right! Look at the right and you'll find the video of this same aircraft taking off on this same carrier :-).

  • @Herbymac0811 Look I get it ok. I wrote my first comment as a joke.

  • @Herbymac0811 JATO!

  • @DocGorilla nope find the other video. normal take off.

  • @Herbymac0811 It gets pulled back and shot right away... with the catapult!

  • @qtight Nope. find the other video for it. all the did was turn the boat into the wind, went to full power with the plane and it left the deck all by its self.

  • @Herbymac0811 130 likes lol

  • @Herbymac0811 JATO. Google it.

  • @Herbymac0811 might use JATO i dont know im 15 and learning so im not sure haha.

  • @Herbymac0811 JATO my friend.

  • @Herbymac0811 JATO my friend.

  • @laslos3 JAPANESE ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANISATION?

  • @gregboyds jet assisted take off

  • @laslos3 No JATO was used for launching the Herc they deck ran it. Jato wound cause to much damage to the flight deck so it wasn't considered.

  • @Herbymac0811 Winds! & how do you think he landing a C130 going 75 KNTS without stalling??????? Winds!

  • @sashman3988 not really, C130 stall speed is 85 - 90 knots. The carrier steaming into the wind can easily reduce the actual approach speed by 20 knots or more. Coupled with the fact that the C130 can push the prope to negative pitch, makes this a lot easier than it appears.

  • @Herbymac0811

    Said the carrier captain xDDD

  • @Herbymac0811 look at the side bar theres a vid of it :)

  • Very interesting how he planing to takeoff...

  • Lt. Commander Steel Ball?

  • Worked on the "Roof" and never saw saw that!

  • now takeoff....

  • But will it blend?

  • @jajkic0732 LOL!

  • @jajkic0732 no cuz the C-130 is too epic to be blended

  • I bet that pilot was sweating like Robert Hayes in the movie "Airplane" during that landing approach!

  • i takes off into wind no catapiult required

  • They use the jet packs..........right

  • It probably had an catupult attached or had to use the whole deck to takeoff

  • Its the C-130 which landed on the USS Forestall (CV-59) right? The Aircraft is currently preserved.

  • wow...thats impressive

  • Credible Sport version of C-130 might be able to take off of that.

  • With C-130 doing that, we now need to land the C-5 on aircraft carriers!

  • narrator : ''we have a clean 130L landing,so...'' boom kaboom! plane + carrier blown up and sank lol

  • @HUMONGASOUR seriously? that is not funny

  • @mdc2296 oh...

  • @HUMONGASOUR just kidding!

  • His name was Stovall? I don't know who picked that guy for the job, but I admire his sense of humour.

  • lol i bet he had parking breaks on.

  • wow.... i didnt think it was really possible. damn son. this guy got some serious balls to attempt that.

  • The C-130 is just one of those designs where everything went right. You see a lot of accidents with them, but they are put into situations that would crush lesser airframes. The REALLY funny part is that Airbus is just marketing a similar design.

  • @sdremish An old plane design but still being used for a reason.

  • so it is smaller than i thought it was

  • @callofdutyguy9 yes, it is. it looks alot bigger than it actually is, judging that ive been in one, but its still pretty huge.

  • ballz of steel indeed :O

  • You can see the rest of this video here.... watch?v=BjNyQvhsQE8

    You will see it takeoff.

  • @wReCktangle

that's right. C-130 can take off the carrier.

    Fantastic!

I don't believe in gracvity any more))

  • he just beat all of my short landings i had ever done,GOOD JOB

  • wow big cojones!!! Cheers to the pilots!!!

  • watch?v=97rSobuKBxI

  • It probably could take off with Rocket assistance, which the C-130 has... go look it up. The blue angles demonstrate it at their airshows.

  • @wReCktangle its not on all C-130s there modified

  • @wReCktangle yes we all know about Jato on the C-130 and many others..........

  • @SixxKicks Yeah anyway in the video I was pointing to, the C-130 takes off easily WITHOUT JATO. That was the point.

  • now take off. lol !!!

  • Now that was impressive!

  • i bet the pilot was shitting himself

  • btw did they catapult it off the carrier... or did they have to use a crane to get it out of there??

    :D

  • @skazhiprivet might need a crane and some disassembly, the largest bomber that can take off is probably limited to the B-24.

  • Ok now I want to see a 747 landing on the carrier!

    :P

  • I had to watch that like 10 times. Man, he barely got on the deck by 20, 25 feet. Guess he needed the whole thing. I'm looking for a vid showing the F-111A doing a takeoff/ landing from a carrier during it's early development before the USAF took it. Does such a video exist?

  • @jonesy97

Sure you didn't mean the F111B?

    watch?v=V9iEAPQoJgI

  • @meowmeowfishfish Yes, sir, you are correct. It was the B model. There were several obvious feature differences between the Navy B and the USAF A model. Shorter Radar dome and aviaonics bay, for one. Good catch, thanks.

  • @jonesy97 Yes, look under F-111B or F-14 part 1. It was canceled after the Grumman started building the mighty Tomcat. F-111 was an Air Force bomber, so I think it wouldn't have worked out

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x Thx. I finally found a vid of carrier trials for the F-111. The USAF had not accepted yet, but yes, the Tomcat was soon to follow. Btw, love the F-15E's all over your home page. Glad to see you like the good 'ol Air Force, too! I used to be a weapons Systems Specialist on the F-111D and F models.
