I'm with you Michael, looks like a piece of antique silverware. I noticed some rust which may indicate a smaller percentage of silver in the manufacturing process? Definitely old stuff, worthy of another location/site visit.

Congratulations on those wheats, plus all the other coins for their worth. That silver piece does look a lot like it's from a spoon or fork and has decorations that go in keeping with a silver artefact. Tin foil and spit test should tell you if it is silver. Thanks for sharing. GL & HH :D
You definitely dug some targets! Big stack of beaver tail style pull tabs.I need to try a park and clear out a spot of them to see if i can hit some gold like other guys been doing.Not sure on that silver piece?Does look like a spoon end.HH

congratz on the finds, the whats it is silver, my guess its from a tobacco box, they used to have small match box sized cases with tobacco inside and rolling paper before the official manufacturing of cigarettes, the shape would fit circa 1920s
