Poor ref and umpires o'conell clearly had ball behind the end line before passing to Lyons but how and why Dublin could let a goal be scored amazing, horrible looking at those matches, went to all of them unbelivable
@MrDS67 Not too dissimilar. They actually used to have compromise rules every year before they kicked the shit out of each other too many times!!! well the last time the aussys battered us, i felt like going up to the match and taking some names!!

Listen to the sheer disbelief in the commentators voice when the goal is scored! Its what sport is all about... and these boys never got a penny from it!!
You can see all Kevin Foley got was a slap on the back of the head for his efforts (of Brian Stafford I think.) Those were great games, remember them like it was yesterday, I remember crying when we lost the final to Down, (I was only 9)
Painful memory! Can still vividly remember being at all four matches and sitting dumbfounded in the old Cusack Stand for fifteen minutes afterwards. A great goal but the space Dowd got was unreal. He should have been fouled before he got near the goal.
The greatest goal I have ever seen in GAA. Sixteen years later I still cant believe that Tommy Dowd got all that space. As for Beggys winning point. That was even better. Great shame Down beat us in the final that year.
awesome series of games

is Gaelic Football similar to Australian Rules Football? They seem kind of similar to me.
