I use Reaper. It's free and has a ton of effects. I mainly use it for EQ and compression, sometimes a *little* bit of reverb, but that's it.

Thanks a lot, man. Dre's tricky like that, I can't really put my finger on all the little details he uses, but the dude is my idol, beat-wise. I didn't realize people liked this one so much. I've been doing a bunch of experimenting with my beats since this one - maybe it's time I got back to some more West coast stuff.

yeah west coast beats are dope as fuck and dre is a billion miles ahead of anyother producer for keeping it real, being able to make beats that sound dope without them sounding commercial like bibble gum poppy rap beats. he's actually pass in the hood.

your beats are very good do, alot of work in them. if you listen to dre's the watcher that gives you alot of tips on how to thow in extra details, its very clear to the ear.

if your gonna check that out look for the watcher instrumental, its better as you can listen to just the music in detail without the dope lyrics distracting you from hearing the music in detail.
