  • I saw them at the Academy in Mcr support All About eve too...Only went to see phibes though...Shame about howard though.

  • @snakelalilulelo You must get hold of their two albums, especially the second one 'Hypnotwister'. They pop up on eBay now and then - definitely worth investing in!!

  • That's fabulous, I hope you're enjoying it. I saw Dr Phibes play several times - at the Hacienda (with Puressence), Reading Festival (1991 I think) and supporting All About Eve. They were an absolutely mindblowing band.

Reading Festival was the first time I saw them; Although I'd heard of them I'd never heard their music before then. I went along to catch their set and they absolutely blew me away. They were - and always will be - one of the most incredible bands I've ever witnessed.

  • The world needs Dr. Phibes now more than ever. What an incredible band they were. I saw them playing live only three times, I wish it could have been more.

    I miss them terribly.

  • @plcrewe the drummer is my tutor at college Keith York, I really should ask him to do a reunion, these guys are great!

  • @snakelalilulelo Wow, really???!!! I heard he was living in the Crewe area. Is your college in Cheshire?

  • @plcrewe Nope Keith York is teaching History of Music and Music Industry to me as well as helping out in our performance lessons at Halesowen College, near birgmingham, he's doing a bit of everything, he's such a down to earth and cool guy
