This clip and the landing clip (which I watched first) are both excellent. Thank you very much for taking the time to film it and upload it for our enjoyment.
Mate, you've inspired me even more to become a pilot with both this and the landing video. Thank you very much! I hope I can start at Sabena Flight Academy!
Como simepre Noe una delicia tus videos, oye solo na pregunta jeje son los unicos Pilotos de regional cargo?? de ser asi woow! han de volar un monton de horas al mes!
hi there, have you teamed up with neocastillo for these in cockpit vids? i have watched neocastillo's vids with awe, but your take on them seems to be a match made in heaven. cheers
@1970sPlaneSpotter I've been watching aviation clips on YouTube for 6 years but this one and the one showing the landing are among the best of the best.
Simon, how the hell do you do it? are you now doing this professionally? I have a lot of the ITVV vids, and they are nowhere near as good as the quality on this short.
I've contacted you before about the equipment used, but this is flawless. I hate you even more now lol. ***** again (thats 5 stars not swearing at you :-) )
I'm confused. Who had control? Captain had his hand on the power levers a little past V1 but copilot had his hand on the yoke and appeared to perform the actual takeoff. Very good video though, good sound too.
I think the prime reason why this video is so good is because you can see the ground moving outside the cockpit, gives a good sense of speed and movement.
thank you

Why do pilots power up halfway first rather than go straight to full thrust? Is it to check the engines?

Simply amazing my friend, keep it coming, the whine of these JT8's is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

@guisantenuclear Those are the trim wheels, they have a white stripe so it's easy to see that they are moving.
