I am SO looking forward to this movie more than anything now! I'm hoping that it not only restores traditional animation permanently in theaters, but also the true magic of Disney that they've been lacking for quite some time. When some friends of mine went to see "Race to Witch Mountain" and asked me why I didn't like it it's cause I didn't believe it was what Disney was truly about... to me Disney is about animation and I'm glad they're seeing the importance of it again.

The Disney Classics were all amde in 2D, so to see another 2D film after so many years is really refreshing. This movie looks like it will be Disneys best yet and I love the whole Jazz New Orleans setting with the beautiful willow trees and fireflies. Just lovely =)

And Anika Noni Rose is playing Princess Tiana? PERFECTION! She has an amazing voice and I love her sounthern accent!

I wonder if they'll make her a princess to start or if she'll have a fascinating hardship backstory like many of the other real princesses. Judging from how touchy everyone is being about her being black though, I'm guessing this is going to be one perfect, perfectionistic, try-to-please-everyone, boring character with that Southern sass.

Let's all hope Disney wasn't scared of touching on something potentially great just because of Sharpton wanna-be's.

I don't see any 3d buildings. their perspective never changes. all their doing with computers here for the most part is just simulating the old multi-plane cameras. the only 3d I see is Very far off in the horizon with the river. the buildings though look completely flat and hand painted. besides GCI mixed hand drawn animation is nothing new. what matters most here is that the characters are hand drawn. so what if the backgrounds are computer assisted?
