@activisor100 dass du unser allererstes Amateur-Filmchen Bockmist findest, ist dein gutes Recht. Der Film ist sicher kein Meisterwerk (Trotzdem muss man sich überlegen was man von 15-19jährigen erwarten kann...).

Aber wo hier fehlender Respekt sein soll, ist mir schleierhaft. Wir haben damals Arminius zur Vorlage genommen, da es ja gerade eine solch interessante Figur von weltgeschichtlicher Bedeutung ist. Das lass ich nicht auf uns sitzen!

@activisor100 Ich sag ja nicht, dass du den ernst nehmen sollst, es ist zweifellos einiges an unfreiwilligem Humor vorhanden. Na und? Das ist ein Hobby-Projekt von Jugendlichen, nicht eine professionelle Produktion, geschweige denn eine Dokumentation. Ist mir immer noch schleierhaft, was da respektlos sein soll. Ich finde deshalb auch deine äusserst "konstruktive" Kritik mindestens so lachhaft wie unsere Freizeitgestaltung.

But Germans today are completely differents. It is absurd to regard Arminius as a "german" hero.

Nö, das machen wir als Hobby. Wir sind alles Amateure und "Arminius" war unser erster Film. Jaja, das Schauspiel :). Wir haben uns in den neueren Filmen diesbezüglich deutlich verbessert.

Arminius was a former officer of the roman

army, he wanted to unify german tribes and

make himself a german king, that´s why he was murdered some time after the great victory

over Rome´s legions. It was still to early in time for such an idea. Germanians were proud tribal people and considered themselves as free men, they didn´t accept a king.

Arminius believed in Rome at first. He joined the Roman army and fought in the Balkans. When he saw what Roman "government" and occupation was really like in Germany, he decided then to fight against Rome. But he knew the odds against him. So he planned his opening battle in the best way possible. He did the right thing, in the right way, at the right time.

Arminius if i don't recall wrong, was working with roman as officer and there he learned the way romans act in battle. After that he betrayed them and kill them all in a deadly trap hiding in the bush as a snake and not in an open field. he killed hundreds of woman and children not only the legions....i wouldn't call him a hero. ;)

You are absolutely right. However, we didn't call him a hero but a "liberator" and he let the Romans also in this movie in a trap. Clearly he is, if not the good, but the better guy in this flick. Since this movie is mainly entertainment and not really historicaly accurate, you shouldn't be to harsh with this Arminius ;)

Dann kannst du sehen daß die Schweizer(ob sie es wollen oder nicht) Südwest-Germanen sind. Bin selber Allemanne(Allgäuer)mit Urvorfahren aus der Schweiz.

Der einzige Unterschied zwischen den Eidgenossen und den restlichen deutschsprachigen Stämmen ist meiner Meinung nach der daß sie es als einzige geschafft haben bei Morgarten das Gesocks vom schmarozenden Adel vernichtend zu schlagen .

"Wir" Schwaben wurden Jahrhunderte später im Bauernkrieg abgemetzelt wie Vieh.

In dieser Hinsicht stehen die Schweizer sehr wohl in der Tradition der Varusschlacht.
