This is an embarrassment. He's basically telling the people that think money is an issue in politics that to solve the problem we should inject more money. If he is elected president none of our issues will ever be fixed.

@drpritchett23 His point was that he never had to change is position on any issue to raise money. And its impossible to regulate limits on money in politics so the best alternative is accept that as a realism and make every thing open and public. Why is it that you can't eliminate money, because any one rich or poor can inject their money to the same Agenda that is totally unrelated to the campaign. Because as a citizen I can do anything with my own money, I don't have to....

@drpritchett23 ... I don't have to donate it to Obama for example, but I can get enough of my friends to print 100k worth of flyers and distribute them. That is my Agenda, not Obama's, how can anyone stop that, what if I had 1 million and wanted to use that money to buy an TV commercial. So you can regulate donations directly to the Campaign, but we already do that, its the Political Action Committes, individuals, agenda drive groups that has the free speech to spend their own..

@drpritchett23 ...to spend their own money as they see fit. Today a Corporation has a limit of $5000 donation, a person has a limit of $2500 to a Campaign. But any individual or group has their own Free Speech rights to make a commerical about a Nike Soccer Ball as they do for or against Obama. What I hope you can see is impossible to regulate unless you take away people's right to free speech. Why you see so many Political Action Committess (PACs) these days.

@drpritchett23 For example these 25k per plate Fund Raisers you see, they are not donations to Obama's Campaign, they are donations to a PAC (for example Family Values Committe) which is a group of people with the same interest. Obama is a guest speaker in the Fund Raiser. Certainly the group's agenda is to re-elect Obama, so what are you going to do, restrict people from having similar interest, restrict people from their free speech to buy a 25k plate and hear Obama talk?
