Why is everyone so certain that Shields will leave SF and sign with the UFC?

@omission13 Because it's Shields last fight on his Strikeforce contract, I don't know if Strikeforce would pay him anymore than they have, the UFC is interested, the UFC has WAY MORE MONEY than Strikeforce, plus I think Shields would rather fight for a bigger organization in the UFC and make more money, fight for their 170 title, than be a Strikeforce champion. Plus they seem to treat their fighters not NEARLY as well as the UFC does. Many reasons for him to sign with the UFC.

@bcmvp11 Well I'd love to see Shields in the UFC. I know Shields is one of the assistant coaches on TUF so it makes sense that he's testing out the waters with the UFC.  Assuming he beats Hendo and signs with the UFC, do u see an immediate super fight happening with GSP?

@omission13 Yeah I do see that happening IF he beats Hendo, which I doubt will happen, unless he can somehow out-wrestle Henderson. But if he came to the UFC after that fight, and they put him up against GSP, he would get absolutely wrecked by GSP. I wouldn't even call it a super fight to be honest, Shields is a true 170 and fighting up a weight class because the 170 division of Strikeforce is so weak other than Nick Diaz. He would be demolished by GSP anyways.

@33pantera Yeah he definitely should, unless he overlooks Shields or something. It would be funny, like Iole said, if Shields beats Strikeforce's huge sign in Dan Henderson, then says , "screw Strikeforce, I'm going to the UFC", and basically ruins Strikeforce by beating their, basically other than Fedor, their #1 guy. The UFC is getting everybody now, now they just need Fedor.
