  • You are right there is no cure all especially for cancer. But I first got interested in nutrition because my own mother beat terminal cancer without chemo using nutrition and prayer. My sister told me yesterday her cat recovered dramatically from leukemia using a nutritional supplement. I have seen many people and their pets recover from cancer using nutrition. Also seen plenty of people not make it.

You have an opinion. I have 18 years of expertise and plenty of experience. You are too late.

  • It's great that you love dogs and all, and yours looks perfectly healthy to me (not that I'd really know), but I read the comments and you're full of shit.

There is no diet healthy enough to fend off all diseases or disorders, especially CANCER. I don't care to debate whether processed or raw food is healthier, I wouldn't know, but neither of them is a magic cure-all.

Biology does not work that way.

  • Someone should show this video to the RSPCA as this is so wrong as everyone knows that you DO NOT give you dog any meat that has bones

  • @slashbg1 People used to tell their children the world was flat. That didn't make it true. Vet told my friend her dog was terminal with cancer. She changed to this type of diet and her dog recovered completely. If you were the owner the dog would be dead.

  • @slashbg1 Your an idiot. "dog food" was made for the convienance for the owner with only the survival of the pet being the main goal... not the thriving. Let me ask you, before kibble was made, what did dogs eat?

  • Are you f*****g mad you must know that you do not give dogs chicking that contain the bone and not cooked. Are you trying to kill your pet

  • @smudge0118 Miraculously despite me being an idiot and giving my dogs HUNDREDS of chicken leg quarters my dogs have had ZERO visits. But now that you have pointed out what an idiot I am I'll start feeding them crappy dog food instead. My dogs and I thank you for your generously sharing your wisdom.

  • Anyone have questions or need help with the raw diet? Call me 24 hours a day! 865-724-3843

Do not hesitate in the slightest! I am willing to answer every thing you may need.

  • dog's like, thanks for the food. im outta here!

  • Ok thanks for the vid, just lost a ton of concern. My dog also does that with his steaks and pork chop. I tend to get the ones with the bigger bones, so he won't just gulp it like that, and chew more. But atleast I know now that it'll be fine. If your dog can swallow a chicken leg lol

  • My dog does the same thing too.. he swallows raw meat. So he doesn't really spend the time tearing the meat off for a while to enjoy the taste.

  • I think that its good to give the dogs raw beef, but the problem is that their agressivity will increase dangeously but some at week its ok i think cus i give my dog

  • Best way to get a dog sick.... Feeding it with raw chicken dumb asses!

  • @veneer711 Commenting on something you don't know anything about.... sadly so common on the internet. If this is the best way to get a dog sick then why aren't my dogs sick even though they have had HUNDREDS of raw chicken leg quarters.

  • @veneer711 your an idiot

  • could you post another video like this?!!? its simply amazing haha!

  • My dog Loves MEAT mostly Beef and Cicken

  • you have a really beautiful dog

    well trained too

why do people say not to feed my dogs chicken bones? i have two chihuahuas(one 3 pounds and one 6 pounds) but i see tons of large breed dogs eating it. would my dogs die if i gave them chicken bone? or only the large breed dogs can because chihuahua's were breed for their size. Large dogs are like wolves-so i am guessing maybe only the large breed dogs digestive system can handle eating raw chicken meat and bones?

  • @dashizzle1985 I would find an online forum for this question. My dogs are pretty bulletproof.

  • @dashizzle1985 considering that chicken leg was about half the size of a average chihuahua , ya it would be bad. and you should never, no matter how big the dog is, feed it meat on bones, take the meat off, if a bone is partially digested it can puncture the stomach or the intestine, plus they could also choke , dogs are pretty choke proof though , but not many people know the Heimlich maneuver for dogs lol

  • @ovhan1 Wow somehow this dog has managed to eats Hundreds of chicken leg quarters without any problem. Perhaps you should inform Wolves, coyotes, Lions, foxes etc etc that their basic diet could require a visit to the vet.

  • @mannasteve no what it is is chicken bones are more likely to splinter when they break instead of just breaking into a solid non sharp piece, so it increases the likelyhood that after the dog bites down to seperate a big piece and goes to swallow it that it will jab his esophagus or later his stomach or intestines after the acid strips the meat and ligaments, bones like cow bones, or ham hocks are fine, the avian bones split because of their unique aerated structure that makes them light

  • @buddhaman001 cooked yes raw nope.

  • @dashizzle1985 Dogs only require 1%-2% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day, with 80% of it being meat, 10% bone, 5% liver, and 5% other organ meat.

3-6lb Chi's, you'll only feeding a few ounces of food a day, and definitely not feeding an entire leg quarter. Chihuahua's have smaller teeth, so their portion size with chicken is more drumsticks/wings/necks, etc. Smaller bones are easier for them to chew. You could always try game hens or quail. Some people even feed mice and rabbit.

  • @dashizzle1985 I'm thinking that when people say not to feed them chicken bones they are probably talking about cooked ones, like the rotesserie bones or such. feeding them cooked chicken bones does present more of a hazard because they tend to splinter and get can cause harm to the dog's insides. We feed our little dog's chicken necks all the time and there is no issue. So raw chicken isn't really a problem but cooked chicken bones are typically a nono.

  • How is this dog doing on this diet? I started mine on raw last week and unfortunately still horrible gas. Im gonna give it a month or two. SOmeone told me that less pork and more chicken because the pork can cause gas.

  • @SBPStudio I do little pork. Mostly chicken leg quarters.

  • @SBPStudio You're moving too fast. Feed chicken backs and leg quarters the first two weeks, then introduce some turkey necks the third week and alternate. THEN, comes pork, or fish, but only if your dog is ready.

  • I say to each his own...it's not like you're abusing your dog...it's obvious he is very loved...raw is a healthy option especially for dogs who have allergies to dry foods. I myself don't feed my dogs a raw diet however a few people I know do.

Enjoy your dog whatever you feed them :)))

  • Haha, of course some vets would be against raw feeding. Raw fed dogs are healthy. And if dogs are healthy what use is a vet? :P

  • @Wtflolyay ZERO vet visits for my dogs.

  • We've been feeding our Rhodesian/Pit mix raw chicken backs (recommended as being cheap and meaty by our butcher) for the past week and he takes them down just like that without a problem. They say the bones are only an issue if you cook them first. Dogs are carnivorous, they don't eat processed horse or whatever you're feeding them in that kibble. If you are listening to a vet for your dog then you're paying someone too much to tell you too little.

  • first of all- most vets are not going to support raw feeding because A-veterinary schools are funded and sponsored by dog food companies, so the basis of thier education is going to lean toward how 'healthy' commercial dog foods are. and B- a vet is less likely to suggest raw food because THEY DONT MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF IT. If they could be in cahoots with thier local butcher, i'm sure they'd look into recommending a raw diet to thier patients' owners.

  • This is the way nature intended them to eat. Way to go.

  • Pet food is "balanced" accoeding to companies because the machines have to be at least 50% carb to be able to produce dry food. They add gluttens to boost the protein. Why feed carnivores grain, when it is not a good practice for vegetarian animals. Livestock is fed grain to fatten them for slaughter. My dogs & cats, after 5 years weigh the same, but they look thinner. Their fat turned to muscle and they never need a vet. At 3, most pets have dental disease & cancer is on the rise. Raw is best.

  • There is no need to get hostile. Raw meat offers nutrition that cooked or processed food can't however, there is a real danger feeding dogs chicken bone because the way they break. Raw beef knuckle bones are better. Or even chicken neck bones.

  • @acchen567 This is perhaps chicken leg quarter number 600 for this dog with no problems,

  • @mannasteve It's not bad to feed raw chicken. The bones become brittle and dangerous after being cooked. Raw = no probs.

  • @acchen567

It is only COOKED chicken bones that can splinter and cause problems, raw ones are just fine.

  • @acchen567 actually, beef knuckle is harder than chicken bone. A good general rule to follow with bones is to use the lower half of the body only if you're worried about tooth breakage. No femurs, whole ribs or skulls. In any case, clearly this dog is large enough to handle chicken quarter. If it was a pom or a teacup poodle, maybe not.

  • @acchen567 LOL...

  • @acchen567

One should only comment when one knows what they are talking about. As long as the bone has not been smoked or cooked, chicken bones from any source are perfectly safe.

  • Oh my goodness!! He did swallow it! LOL

  • It's so cute watching the dog eat! Hahaha :)

  • my dogs are all on raw and they are freaking healthy. They never go to the vet because they grew immunity on their diet. one is a chihuahua and the other one is a Jindo. I would never feed my dogs commercial food

mannasteve is doing the right thing

  • @Bananaboy109 you have a jindo?surprising lol since it is a pure korean breed and is rare here unless u are korean..dont take this comment wrong i find it great ppl are finding interest in jindos

  • Haha DragonAssassian is such an idiot. I used to feed my Pugs commercial dog food. They lacked energy, pooped alot, had lots of naps, dull coat despite being fed and expensive food. Switched to raw. Even two-three days later there is already improvements. Shinier coat, no odour, tear stains = GONE!, less poops, no more naps, happier dogs. hmm..

  • Some of the cr@p people spout about raw diets is unbelievable.

Myths perpetuated by people like the ones we've heard here, come purely from folk who have not researched the subject of raw feeding. The only people who need to "wake up" are the ones who are continuing to be swept in by such myths, and who are still feeding their poor dogs or cats on the shit that passes as 'food' they buy from supermarkets or pet shops.

If you care about your dog or cat - feed a raw meat and bone diet!

  • haha my pit does the same thing. she'll eat the bone and then swallow the rest its kinda cool to watch lol

  • People dont let your dog eat chicken bones or bones from any bird. The bones of birds are hollow and are dangerous for dogs to eat. Use your head people.

  • @TheDragonAssassian

Here's what I suggest. Actually read the video description, do some research and then delete your comment because it makes you look like an idiot.

  • @mannasteve Do a search for dogs eating chicken bones and you will see who the real idiot is. I am a veterinarian and if your veterinarian is telling you its ok to feed your dog these things you need to find a new one. Good dog foods have BALANCED NUTRITION suited for a dog in certain stages of their life.

  • @TheDragonAssassian OOOH I didn't know you were a vet. That changes everything. I don't have a vet may'be you could be mine. HHHMM wait a second. i don't have a vet because my dog never gets sick. But you being the expert have informed me that i am doing something potentially fatal for my dog to feed him a raw chicken leg quarter. yet even though I have fed him 600-700 raw chicken legs quarters he is really healthy.**** Seriously Mr DragonAssasin NO ONE believes you are a vet.

  • @TheDragonAssassian If a dog were in the wild he wouln't even stop to sniff your so called " balanced nutrition" dog food, she would go straight for chicken/bird whatever small animal is out there, its how nature intended it to be.

  • @mannasteve (cont) Wolves kill their food and eat it right away. They dont kill it, take it to processing plant, sell it in store and freeze in their home for a week before eating it. Like what was done with your chicken in the video there. Please tell me you dont have kids. By the way your house and yard look like hell. Your welcome for the free vet visit. Wise up knucklehead.

  • @TheDragonAssassian So let me get this straight. Wolves eating raw is ok because it is less processed, but me feeding my dog raw is bad because it is more processed. So your solution is to feed my dog dog food? LOL.

My 10 year old daughter knows more about nutrition than you, and my three kids have NEVER ONCE been to the doctor due to illness. May'be its because I get paid very well to train and educate people on how to be healthy including Vets, Doctors, chiropractors, pharmacists, nurses etc.

  • @TheDragonAssassian "By the way your house and yard look like hell." lol Okay, how is that relevant? Just looking for ways to criticize the person since they've easily proven you wrong? You're a pretty mature vet. Good job!

Explain why my dogs and ferrets are doing great on raw food?

  • @TheDragonAssassian

How ironic it is that those who perpetuate such nonsense about feeding raw diets to dogs and cats, are actually the ones promoting the ill health of pets by recommending people buy the cr@p that is sold as 'food' in pet shops and supermarkets!

  • @TheDragonAssassian So, feed our dogs with pet food that is extremely processed is better for them? the same animals that you could give them (not by products, the one that you buy for your family) is exactly the same that are used for the preparation of pet food, the difference is that those animals are by products. I gave by 10 years pet food to my dogs and i never saw the same results that I got to see in only 3 years feeding my dogs with raw meat.

  • @TheDragonAssassian You speak without fundaments, with no experience with raw meat, just like a vet who sell pet food...we, the people who are feeding his dogs with raw meat speak with the experience of pet food and raw food and we can compare by the results of both foods.

    The results say everything

    Sorry for m english.

  • @TheDragonAssassian The ignorance in this post is baffling! I am curious as to what your views would be to someone who raises their own meat including chicken and the dogs are given their meal just as fresh as a wolf would receive it. Including the feathers, stomach, entrails and all. Only then is it OK, right? We just put to rest my grandfathers 17 year old GSD who has eaten like this all his life and only twice in it's LIFE been to the vet. Things that make you go hmmmmm, eh?

  • @TheDragonAssassian Ok sooo, 'fresh' chicken has been processed and freezed through a plant so what can we feed your doog, GEE I KNOW, how about some Kibble dog food DERP DERP. PLEASE dont tell me you have kids.

  • @TheDragonAssassian

Use your head people. Think what your dog is - i.e. a carnivore - basically a wolf. Think what wolves ate for millions of years before man invented the commercialised shit that passes for 'food' that many people buy in supermarkets today. Think if you'd like to feed carcinogenic additives, colourings and preservatives to your beloved pet. Think about whether ot not the myths you hear about raw food are justified. Then feed the BEST you can to your pet - i.e. a RAW meat diet.

  • Beautyful!

    I have some movies too.

Just search for my name 'lovethijs' and you will find them.

I'm glad we have a yard now, so I can give them the meat outside the house.

  • thought dogs shouldn't eat chicken bones?

  • @karendunn60 If the chicken bones are raw, it's fine. If they are cooked, then definitely not.

  • @papillonsandpitbulls

You learn something everyday, i didn't know that.

  • thank god it wasnt cooked, cooked chicken bones bad for them.

  • My dog loves his chicken leg quarters. He's small so I cut the drumstick off for him and give him the thigh. I notice you took the skin off yours. I don't do that...

  • the approach is good. but chickenbones itself can be dangerous for a dog, but he seems to do the job good tho!

  • @dudewithpool Not if they are raw. Only cooked bones are a danger.

  • @fallapatorius healthier dog, makes a happier dog. They will live longer and your vet bills will be much lower.

  • if you feed your dog raw chicken, which is perfecly fine for them, you should make sure its organically grown because factory farmed chickens have a higher rate of spreading diseases if eaten raw by dog or human alike.

i feed my dogs raw home grown chicken and pork.

  • @yellowstarfish09 totally agree. wish that was currently an option.

  • @yellowstarfish09 That is not necessarily the case.

Factory farmed birds are pumped full of more antibiotics and growth hormones than free range, organic birds, so they are less likely to spread or carry disease.

The only reason to avoid factory farmed birds is because of the hideous cruelty they endure during their miserable lives, and the fact that you don't want your dog eating all those antibiotics and growth hormones.

  • I feed my GSD, Trudy, raw meat. Raw food is the most biologically appropriate diet for dogs. She gets 80% meat, 10% bone, 5% liver, and 5% other organs. 50% of her diet is red meat, the other 50% consists of white meat and fish. Dogs do not need any plant matter in their diet and do better without it. Feedin a prey model raw diet to your dog is the best thing you can do for them.

  • I also feed my dog raw dieg. Chicken quarter.. My dog is 35lbs and she gets a chicken quarter once a day. It is so good for her and I have not fed her dog food over 6 months. She is healthier! I wish people are more educated about raw diet and start feeding their dogs what it was meant to be in the wild.

  • I mean thing twice thanks for tha

  • U souns like smart person all i can say i sorry for the insulted words but i over react nex time i have to rhing two times thanks

  • No problemo :-)

  • Oh my iphone don't show red on the bad spelling

  • I'm sure your English is much better than my Spanish.

  • I just hate people making this videos with animals the dog looks like have eat for days

  • This dog always acts like he is starving. One Christmas day he opened the refrigerator by himself and ate an entire spiral ham!!

  • Fucking idiot dont u know the chiken bones can kill ur dog stupid fuck put the chiken at ur ass u shit

  • I hate to point out the obvious, but if you are going to try and insult someone's intelligence may'be you should be able to spell chicken correctly. YouTube makes it easy by underlining the misspelled words in red.

Regarding what I should do with the chicken I'm sure you mean "in" not "at." Why you might think that would be fun I don't know, but clearly reason and logic are not your strengths.

  • @TheBorracho80 Chicken bones are dangerous if they are cooked, not when they're raw. Raw is fine. Maybe YOU should stop talking about things you know nothing about.

  • My dogs have stolen an entire baked rotisserie chicken several times. no problems at all. They have also eaten a large amount of dark chocolate with no issues either.

  • @mannasteve wow, really. But i found out that chocolate is poison to dogs.

i remember when i was young, i feed my dogs little pieces if candy and chocolate.

it was only twice ive done that, and i feel guilty. i love dogs.

but strangely All my dogs from different life time always eat cooked food like their food, sandwiches, Chinese, my moms food but the vets that checked on them said that there are very healthy, always. strange. my daddy knows how to take care of dogs since he was young

  • @mannasteve --in Ecuador but they never lived in the best neighborhood so im guessing my dad took some strays in and took care of them and his friends give him their dogs (probably not want) to keep. Happens a lot.

3 dogs in my life time:

Then: A rottweiler name Daisy(died from sickness), A doberman named sonic (died last year--My Baby T_T) i had for 7 to 11 years, and now a pitbull named Trinidy.

People say there dangerous but there wrong. They bring good comfort and love that i really needed.

  • good training and great meal for that dog! I came here cuz i feed raw chicken bones and this time my pup just chewed it down a bit then swallowed it just like your dog. He normally chews it down more but i guess he's getting to be a big boy (6 mo border collie mix)

  • Glad to see more people are starting to feed raw. Good looking dog you have.

  • @kbug861 thanks. Got a new puppy in august and have fed him exclusively raw. he's doing awesome on it.

  • @mannasteve do you give regular shots?

  • minimum possible. Don't give my children any shots.

  • @mannasteve Me neither. We just had a litter of pups and I am trying to find info on whether they have to have the first round...

  • Thanks for sharing this. Wish more people would wake up and figure out that the pet food industry (and most vets support it thanks to their pockets being lined too) is no better than the pharmaceutical companies! Dogs are canines....they eat whole animals. That includes bones and all yes. We switched to raw 3 mos. ago and would never return. We too bought only the most expensive foods (driving ridiculous distances for it) prior and the dog was never healthy until now.

  • ok so you have explained the raw meat part, but what about the bones? is it healthy for the dog to swallow the bones also?

    thanks!

  • Cooked chicken bones splinter. RAW do not. BARF is the common acronym for feeding your dogs raw. Bones And Raw Food. Bones are vital for dog health. Piles of research on it out there.

  • Is it safe for the dogs to eat the bones and all? I would prefer boning the chicken and cook it before feeding.

  • Worms?

  • Had the same question when I started to feed my dog raw. The vet explained to me that the digestive system of natural fed dogs changes. It becomes more healthy, robust and resistant and can deal better with worms than that from dogs who get Doggy Fast Food. Also worms/larvae have no chance to develop and spread by raw feeding because the passage through the digestive tract is too fast. About a third compared to kibbles. She said not to worry the chance would be very unlikely.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself

  • My previously dog ate a whole raw chicken actualy, for christmas, he was a leonberger and was called Mitch, anyway sure that dog gots powerfull jaws also xD

  • Now thats good eatin

  • Your the biggest imbred ive ever seen. u accually find tht amusing. go to hell

  • If you are trying to insult me you might want to fix the 7 mistakes in spelling and punctuation and try again. Good Luck. The words that are underlined in red are misspelled.

  • Do They Eat The Bones Too??

  • yes. uncooked bones don't splinter

  • No they dont... its a camera trick.

  • I tried a raw chicken quarter yesterday and my dog showed no interest in it. any suggestions?

  • try beef like hamburger meat. Maybe cut up the chicken and send it through a food processor. There are plenty of RAW dog food forums to help you out.

  • raw chicken bones don't splinter. cooked ones do. hence I feed him raw and not cooked..........

  • raw chicken bones don't splinter. cooked ones do. hence I feed him raw and not cooked..........

  • be careful, chicken bones splenter and can get caught in their digestive track.

  • now that is real dog food.

  • BS I feed my kennel of working mals and dutch shepherds legquarters 1morn 1 night best thing i ever did less stool less money and no waste!

  • Glad you found a species appropriate diet for your boy - he's a great looking dog!

alissaz3 is right on the money, an animal based O3 oil (like a fish body oil) will be much easier for your dog to digest, but you are already doing a wonderful thing for him with the raw diet, so don't sweat it.

  • Awesome! Try to replace the flaxseed oil with something more species appropriate-as it is grain based-try Omega 3 with the correct proportion of EPA and DHA-300 mg and just Omega 3. Beware of the over-supplementing myth. Raw diets have it all already...

  • thanks for the input. I have been pretty basic/lazy about his raw diet but he is doing much better than on the best dog food i could find (innova evo).

  • Exactly-Evo and Innova list all the ingredients as if they are raw food. They are trying to mimic (poorly) the raw diet. Marketing ploy on their end. The big seller is no grain, but they still aren't getting past the idea that it is cooked to excess of 212 degrees, with the nutrients sprayed on after. No tests are done to see how long those nutrients last after they are sprayed on, but if it is about the same price as raw-why not feed the better option?

  • RAW CHICKEN IS BETTER FOR YOUR DOG

  • My lab eats her's exactly the same way... lol

  • man that dog is big i ahve a german shepard / rotweiler and hes getting pretty big just eating commercial foods my dad hasnt decided yet if he wants to feed him raw foood

  • I'm not sure about the flax oil, but other than that, breakfast sounds delicious.
