the flyers definatly got the better deal tradeing him, foresberg didnt do anything with the flyers, they only got the the first round of the playoffs the whole time he was in philly.
ever since the flyers were swept by the wings in the '97 finals the trades and free agent signing have been so eratic and irrational. and this past year they spent 130 million plus in contracts to get out of last place
If he´s going to continue playing hockey at all he´s going to play with Modo. Modo is the team with the biggest chance of all teams in the world to have Forsberg
Peter Forsberg has himself said that any team in NHL is interesting, but if noone where interested he would restort to europe where only one team would be intresting for him, which was Modo. And it doesnt matter, Peter is probably gonna retire anyways.
If we could pick up forsberg, that would be great...we could easily put him on the second line with Joffrey Lupul and Scottie Upshall. Whatever line he plays with, he'll have an immediate impact. As of now, its gonna come down to the Senators and the Flyers. Peter wants to win another cup so the flyers are gonna need to be in first place in the Eastern Conference if he's to come back to them.
i think it says something about peter to stay and speak about the trade rather than just split once the deal was done. i think he's a good guy that means well and i wish him the best.
Personally, I think it is a great trade for the Flyers, you guys got Upshall who had 6 goals and 13 points in his time with the Flyers compared to Forsberg who had 2 goals and 15 points with the Preds. Ryan Parent is going to be a pretty good player in the NHL in a few years, and the mid level draft picks could get you a good complenmentary player like Brandon Sutter, or you could package them up. Plus, I don't think Forsbergs going to stay with the Preds.
he didnt do anything with them? he put up 75 points in 60 games and 8 points in 6 playoff games...

No its not, in europe, not in the world.

Which team has a bigger chance than Modo then?
Not Colorado,Philadelphia or Nashville.
Modo has a 50% chance and the rest of the world has a 50% chance.

True. Too bad. I would have liked to see him move from one of my favorite teams to my number one favorite team.. and to see him next to Selänne.
