  • MA PERCHE' DECOLLA PURE?????

  • What a slow climb! It's like an A340. It only climbs because of the curvature of the Earth!

  • I flew in iran alot of times. but not with that old boeing.

  • Beautiful but scary as hell!!

  • Magnificent footage . 707 supposed to be 'extinct" long time ago with the introduction of boeing 737 , but this Iranian variant still flies ! Cool

  • I spent a lot of time on 707s back in the day.

    It was always good.

I would like to get 1 more flight on a DC8 and a 707 while some are still airworthy.

I doubt that I will ever get to fly in a Convair 880/990 again, they are gone from this earth.

I do truly miss those days.

  • im very fortunate to fly a boeing 707 last year since im a 14 yr old!

  • @nigel123able Thats nice. I am 16 and probably most "exotic" aircraft I have flown so far is fokker 100 or MD-11 but when I flew with MD-11 I was so young that I remember nothing from it.

  • nice to know these birds still fly

  • wow

    58 seconds for take-off , it`s very havey !!!!

  • When was this filmed 1991? Just a guess

  • OLD

  • gear retracts with a satisfying 'thump'.

  • it seems like it takes longer for this kind of plane to take off.

  • Last time I flew on a B707 was 1966 PAN AM from Rome to NY. Man were those the days.

  • Thats an old plane. 

  • It looks to me somewhat scary.

  • I haven't seen such a view in 30 years

  • 50 seconds to take off?? damn!! That is a heavy bird!!

  • @concorde232

Date and flight details are in the description.

  • When was this ?

  • I didnt think that thing was ever getting off the ground... geez I am shitting myself just watching that bucket of bolts fly.... I'd never be on it.

  • My last 707 flight was on June 9th 1982 Cleveland-JFK on TWA.

  • I wish some airlinnes would keep a couple 707 and 727s around kinda like people restore old cars. I know the maintenance and fuel is a lot greater but they could call em nostalgia flights and charge a small premium. make it just like the 50s.

  • I believe this is a Boeing 720, a derivative of the 707. Look at the shape of the engine pylons, plus it's got Krueger flaps on the outside of the outermost engines. They took out some fuselage which made it lighter and added the Krueger flaps to enhance short field performance so it could better operate on short and medium flights in and out of smaller airports.

  • I'd go to Iran just to fly in one of these birds!

  • @TheAusraelian yeah cause the airplane is old and tierd :(

  • Does Saha Air Lines still fly with a B-707 ?

  • Look at the planes on the parking! It's like jumping back in the 70s-80s!

  • god ,, still this airplane flying ,,, how was ur feeling man while u are flying on a/c from the 50's !!! :)

  • @fayezmatahen82 the aircraft should have good mainteinance...

  • wow jeez is this thing still in service for Saha Airlines? this goes to show just how long lasting these 707's are

  • 1.15: you see those 747s? I have NEVER seen those in the sky in 20 years of living in Iran. I think they are just ... sitting there. SAHA as far as I know, operate 707s only for commercial trips. Any one else knows anything about those 747s? (they are even on google images! )

  • Certain death to fly on these poorly maintained museum pieces.

  • @gtaman1010 They are to let in air into the engine to help it cool down in hot weather like in Iran.

Do a search on ... COWL FLAPS & ENGINE COOLING. You tube wont let me post the site link

  • @br76892 Actually, no. Those are called Suck-in doors. They allow for additional airflow into the engine and are simply sprung closed. They operate off pressure differential. Lots of the older low-mid bypass turbo fans had these. Cowl flaps are cooling devices, for older, mostly radial powered planes.

  • Great video of a great plane. Loved your earlier 707 videos as well. I had the opportunity to fly on one of the last TWA 707's back in I think 1984. My favorite plane of all time - the look and sound of the JT3D's won't ever be duplicated.

  • I never knew 707s' still operated.

  • I love the Divergent ducts!

  • A W E S O M E

  • These aircrafts are just shit and engines not powerful enough!

  • @Chrispy854 Bullshit, B707 succesfully carried passengers for over 30 years around the world.

  • @Pvjinflight Succesfully carried and killed passengers for over 30 years you mean...

I'd rather stick with europeans... Airbus, even the name sounds more reliable.

  • @starbreez3 Well as really first succesful passenger jet it has much worse crash rate than newer ones, but that doesnt mean that plane itself is bad as whole air safety was much worse in those days than today.

  • @Chrispy854 Are you kidding me?! Boeing 707 is still the fastest sub-sonic airplane in the world!

  • @Chrispy854 Do us a favor, go stand behind one. But bring an english grammar book along, you'll need it.

  • it takes ages to takeoff

  • Every 707 video is so valuable in our times, since the opportunity to fly them is so rare. I hope someone flying Saha films a takeoff from behind the wing next time, so we can hear the engine sound and see the flaps. Thank you!

  • @Coaljet

I took a take-off video from behind the wing in 2007. Check out my older videos and you will find it.

  • @Coaljet

you couldn't pay me enough money to step foot on one of those 707's owned by a third world country

  • @bdg1966 Right, and I understand. But the problem is, that the small number of American operators of 707s (e.g. Lowa Ltd.) and DC-8s (e.g. ATI) consistently turn down requests by videographers (professional ones, at that) to take a flight and document these historic aircraft from a passenger's perspective. If they would say yes, I bet you most of these guys would take a flight aboard a U.S.-registered and -maintained classic any day over one from Iran!

  • @Coaljet Dear friends I'd like to invite you all, to visit beautiful and historical IRAN with its warm people and those old 707 which are flying nicely. As an Iranian, let me to give you an advice, better you choose 707 from Tehran to Kish island located in Persian gulf at evening to watch island from sky during landing. it will be a unforgettable memory for you ever. Total time for this trip is about 1h 30m. Thank you

  • How can they still be flying 707's?

  • @robo50111 saha isnt an international one like iran air. and iran air was threatend that they either ground their 707 or their out. so iran air grounded them (sad). but saha is a private airline so they can fly anything. and they keep these very nice

  • @robo50111

I think the 707 retired shortly. They retired 2007 i think (corect me if i am wrong)

  • The Boeing 707 is a wonderful, but very old airplane.

  • Are they flying again?

    Nice video.

  • @sibtupolev

They started flying again late last year but were supposed to be grounded from 22JUN 2010. They have now been extended by another month but there are all sorts of rumours about when they will really be retired, so who knows!

  • @sibtupolev

you could not pay me enough money to step foot on one of those 707's from a third world country

  • beautiful 707!

  • NICE
