The document posted is a 'Certificate of Live Birth'. They are far from being the same thing. Anyone can receive a Hawaiian 'Certificate of Live Birth' regardless of being a Hawaiian resident or not. The birther stuff is bullshit, but I don't think that everything the 9/11 truthers proclaim is in the same category.
I'm not a "truther," but there are serious and legitimate questions about some of the things surrounding 9/11.

These people start out with a conclusion (e.g. Bush did it)...and then the
cherry-pick random bits of data that appear to support their theory. In other words, they believe it because they WANT to believe it.
Truthers are in the same category as those who think Bush blew up the levees, the govt invented AIDS, the CIA created the crack epidemic, etc. Frightened, low IQ folk looking for a boogeyman.

I agree with you about some "truthers," however, many of them fall into the category of wanting some lingering questions cleared up.
For instance, building 7 really is problematic. That's just one of many legitimate questions. I don't have a preconceived notion about what happened, but if you read the 9/11 Commission report, it's pretty obvious that, at minimum, serious incompetence in our gov't was covered up.
I don't lump every truther into one category and write them all off as loons.

Personally I think that because he's got an American mother. he went to American colleges and he's served in State and US Senates he's probably okay to serve as president. It's that little thing called the Constitution that could stand in his way if he's not a natural born citizen. That's what's gotten everyone worked up. This entire issue would be cleared up if BHO would simply provide the long form birth certificate he says is on file with the State of Hawaii. The document provided online at Fact Check is not accepted by Hawaii as legal proof to sign up for T-ball. Why would we accept it for our president? It's really a simple matter that BHO acts suspicious by legally sealing all his documents from IL State Senator and back through college at a high cost to him. Why? Just come clean and make the story go away.

To say that "questions still surround" his birth certificate is ludicrous. Do an even cursory review of every credible news outlet in the USA and you will find that there are no such questions about this laughable theory. Start with the conservative National Review's take on the issue, as an example.
Madsen makes some interesting points but he cites to no concrete facts whatsoever regarding Netanyahu's ties to this nonsense.

I agree he did not submit a birth certificate, but minor clarification to prevent more confusion, the digital image of the document he produced wasn't even called a "certificate of live birth" but a "certificaTION of live birth"-- the "certificate" of live birth (which he didn't submit) would be the long form. That said, birthers aren't even primarily concerned about citizenship at birth anyway, but lack of *natural born* citizenship.
