Mensch "sabbely87", du sprichst mir aus dem Herzen. Vom Äußeren war ich immer Richie - Fan und dachte so manches Mal, warum probiert er es nicht allein, aber wenn man sich alle Songs so anhört, dann hatte er absolutes Glück, dass er Jon und Konsorten getroffen hat. Ich finde nicht das richie besser singt als jon. sie sind beide gnadenlos gute sänger. bon jovi wäre ohne richie nichts aber andersrum ohne jon auch nichts. jon hat in einem interview selber mal gesagt er ist kein technisch gute sänger und das hört man auch in alten life videos von 86 oder 87. erst mit den jahren sind sie life so enorm gut geworden. die beiden machen das ding komplett und die anderen 3 wie hugh david und tico geben dem ganzen natürlich den letzten schliff. eine grandiose band!

As I mentioned before, 2 songs from the accoustic set that prove that Jon is by no means a one trick pony and has a pretty phenomenal voice too! Jon and Richie are 2 very different singers and both amazing in their own right. Together they do something magical.

I agree with the previous poster - I dont get the richie is better than Jon comments! They have two totally different voices, Jon is a rock singer, Richie has a classic Blues voice. I adore them both, and always look forward to hearing Richies solo in any BJ concert. I have all of his solo albums, but I would never, ever wish for him to take center stage.I strongly suggest you look at some other vides, like the accoustic set in Minneonapolis in 2003 and seeing just what an amazing voice Jon has

I,ve listened Satriani,s version again. That is god of course, but the whole is eclectical a bit. This version is "clear dirt" - I mean under dirt the blues roots. And it is blowing at once as Richie begins to sing.  That "door" sets the tone perfectly!!!

I,ve listened it again and - again. Even better than when I first commented. Don,t care the critics who say Deep Purple played it better! That is another "tale", a beautiful, "european" soft version. This one is a very strong, simetimes cathartic.

And who say it - me - is a big Blackmore fan!

Very good arrangement! Totally different world then the original one's. (Which is one of my favourite.) But it is good too, very good. (Better then the one with Satriani,s solo). Both singing and guitar playing. Full of power-emotion and misery.

Not bad, from the Stuart Smith album 'Heaven and Earth' but so incredible because it's a Purple song, a b-side at that, basically them on a mellow day. I don't like what guitar players have done with it, Blackmore said enough with the stacaato lead.

I think Jeff Healy probably played it better than the rest who've played it over the years.
