You can say we are FEMA/Homeland security. We aren't bitches like them though. We work 100+ hours a week. 7 days a week. we train in everything and get trainned my other in so much more. courage, identity and diversity is what makes us so much more.
Build or fight??? Build and fight. IT'S THE NEW NAVY. WE FINISH WHAT WE START. NO we weren't born out of necessity. we where born out of diversity. FIRST THE SEABEES WHERE CALLED BEAVERS. NO we are dirt seabees. We always got the shityest, cheapest, broken stuff to finish jobs. SO stop f-n over the seabees. Buy us tools. I don't want a CE hammer to build a SWA HUT. I remember taken rocks, 550 cord and a stick as a hammer. WE ARE THE BASTARDS OF THE NAVY AND WE END UP GOING EVERYONES JOB.
Amazing video! I will be looking to find a copy of this somewhere - my late father was one of the first SeaBee's in 1943 at the tender age of 21! He served in the Phillipines in WWII, was in the 104th - so proud of him and all of these special people!!!
I also know the "marine version" of what the one gentleman breifly mentioned. But, I once saw a marine gunny chew out his men when he overheard them "riding" us while we were working on one of their bases one time. He told them, "when you've been out in the field and you've got a shower facility and a dry place to sleep and eat, you'll appreciate these men who can make anything out of absolutely nothing".
