  • you're sickling....and turned in....and please fix your ribbons

  • i would work on not sickling and working on turnout. :)

  • Tuck your ribbions in and try and get a little more over your box. And tuck your strings into your shoe. Your doing great!

  • Sorry, but you do not ready to be on pointe.

    It looks horrible

You have to work on your arches, because now they are looking bad

    I am so sorry again!

  • i think you need to increase your pointe range a little more and to try to stop sickling. however this was 3 years ago so you have probably improved a lot. :)

I would invest in Lisa Howell's perfect pointe book, a little pricey in my opinion, but i hope to see results soon! (i haven;t started yet). I start this friday when i finish school and I willl be doing before and after videos and pics. I'll inbox you a link when i have. (it will be in about 2 weeks or so.) :)

  • Did anyone show you how to tie your pointe shoes or tuck in the drawstring?

  • I feel like you don't do ballet. If you did, your teacher would have told you how to tie the ribbons and elastic properly and you would be pointing your toe. Pointe is more than just getting over the box.

  • It looks like you are doing good on getting over the box. These pointe shoes just don't look the best. I would try a different brand. Are you using blochs?

  • where are your elastics?

  • 16 people are jealous

  • @fralovers what does that mean? lol

  • @bunnigrl358 16 people disliked the video

  • @fralovers ohh haha so was that a compliment then?

  • @bunnigrl358 yeah i love ballet and i soon want to be on pointe

  • @fralovers haha gotcha... good luck!

  • @fralovers nah its more like 16 people are facepalming because this is horrible. but whatever works for you

  • @fralovers actually sixteen now twentytwo people know that shes not ready for pointe (in this video), and that her arches arent really developed. going en pointe isnt something to joke around with.

  • awesome ;D

  • don't forget your positions, if you're standing in fifth, make sure it's a proper fifth!

  • Whoa! Nice arch! But you are supposed to tie the ribbons on the inside of your ancles, and then roll the end up, and tuck them in. Othr than that, AWESOME!!

  • i think you need to work on your turnout a bit. and other than that, in this video youre holding on to something, not really going into releve on your own

  • more weight on the big toe, it makes you sickle

  • TUCK YOUR RIBBONS IN! It looks unproffesional

  • hmmmmm

  • Tie your ribbons right and tuck in your drawstring.

Sorry, it just annoys me and I had to say it :)

You need to distribute your weight evenly over the box.

Don't try to do echappes that fast yet. You need to put your heels down in fifth and close into a tight position. Other than that, great work! ^ ^

  • your shoes are tied wrong. the knot is supposed to be behind the ankle bone and tucked in.

  • Très bien fait...mais... : le travail du pied "Gauche" manque !!!

A moins que j'aie mal regardé

Thank you very much for posting

  • You have nice arches, but you need to roll through them when you releve. Make sure not to sickle too!

  • when you repeatedly releve into second, each time i noticed that you dont completely put your heels on the ground each time, please make sure you put your heel down completely as otherwise you could shorten the muscles in your arch and really damage your muscles!

  • 1.) You have to fix your ribbons.

2.) You have to work on your Demi pointe.

3.) Work on your Fifth. It should always be tight.

Nothing else! Good luck, Have fun dancing:)

  • Work on moving from fifth, other than third, which is a non-position.

  • like others mentioned your shoes aren't tied correctly, if you message me I can tell you how to tie them and how to sew the ribbons/elastics on as well. Staying over the toebox is super difficult, it takes a lot of calve strength, so doing eleves a lot would help =)

  • this really messy. you need to work on rolling through your feet onto releve. and your turn out is bad. you need stronger feet.

  • tuck in your ribbons and your drawstrings!

And you are sickling a bit. Try to stay on the box. Your right foot is a lot better then your left so you need to work on your left one a bit and make then equally as good.

  • tuck those strings in! :)

  • uhmm learn how to tie your ribbons and you would be pretty good

  • work on rolling your foot up to pointe rather than skipping demi and jumping up. :)

  • your sickling a bit, try to work on this, but good work

  • when you tie your shoes tuck in the end of the ribbon

the stretch that you were doing helps a lot

I have been doing pointe for 3 years and going on your box all the way is not very easy, it took me almost a whole year to perfect it, so keep working at it and you'll be fine

Good Luck with it and Have FUN

  • ur turn out is a mess rly wrk on that nd i rly dnt think those shoes r tied right

  • Comment removed

  • I thought releve ment to rise.....

  • releve means to rise from a plie. eleve is to rise from straight legs.

  • Comment removed

  • Look on youtube and type in tying tips its a really helpful video and when your on point don't lean over on the tow because that will damage your ankles

  • you have to work through demi pointe when you are going into releve.

  • ahhhhhh.

learn how to tie your ribbons, fool.

oh, and your fifth is a little jacked up.

    work on your turn out.

    other than that..

    keep up the good work.

  • ahh learn how to tie your ribbons

  • also on those acchappes u need to slide on demi and then en pointe.

  • whats up with those ribbons?

  • Your Foot Needs To Be Straighter Your Kind Of At A Right ANgle To Your Box.. I Dont Know How To Describe it But Think Of The SHoes As An Extension To Your Foot.

  • 1. ur knuckling

    2. ur going to get an injury unless you tie your ribbons differently

    3. tuck in ur drawstrings

    other than that, good!

happy dancing! u will be great!

  • Work on your turn out. roll through demi, don't forget!

  • youve tied your pointe shoes wrong, the tails of your ribbons should be on the insides of your ankles.. if you tie them wrong it could result in an injury.

  • learn how to tie your shoes!! please

  • Please please PLEASE Tuck or cut the extra ties!

  • I second this....at least tuck in your elastics [drawstrings]

  • please please PLEASE get new shoes. the way you broke in those shoes is causing you to knuckle and if you use them any longer your muscle memory will get used to knuckling and then it will be really hard to break the habit. :/

  • You never made it to 5th the whole time. And your achape got wider and wider ever single time you did it.

  • se questa e DANZA sulle punte...braviximama sn solo esercixi!!!brava pero nn male hai la flessibilita...grande comunque bravixima di nuovo

  • tuck in your ribbons and your elastics

  • omg what's this???and the laces?

  • BEAUTIFUL arch!! Just work on your turnout and close your fifth all the way. That was fifth right? I'm not sure, it may have been third? And another thing. You should break in your shoes a bit more. But overall, you have amazing technique! How lond have you been on pointe? I just started this year and I have an arch similar to yours... GREAT WORK!!!!!

  • i was only en pointe for a few months when i took this. Ya and i had totally screwed up the arch on those shoes ha but oh well. thanks for the comment though.

  • wow! you need to break your shoes in much more!!! though you probably have by now!! x

  • lol, try to tuck in your ribbons, it will look more pretty!!

  • you broke them in the worng place and roll when you coem down :D

  • cut ur stringz!

  • what position was that?? really bad in the beginning

  • thanks : ) lol

ya i know I had no idea what i was doing

  • did you break in your shoes yet?

  • sorta lol they are much better now

  • thats good!

  • turn out

  • your on a good start. try to stand on the platform all of the way. you will gain more balence. and elastics will help... like a ton! when I had just gotten my pointe shoes 5 years ago it hurt a lot, but you will get used to it as you go! great so far though!

  • i just started pointe classes and they hurt man. they hurt. any suggestions? comment on my channel if so

  • ya they hurt, but depending on what your instructors says, there are a few things you can do... the main thing is to even out he pressure on all toes and you can do that with wool... but there are many teachers that will limit the amount and type of padding you have because it can interfere with your foot and sometimes because they are just mean haha.. but if you can i suggest using a bit of extra padding under the toes that dont touch the bottom of the shoes... Hope that helps!! : )

  • thank you !

  • what brand of shoes do you have they look like mine a bit although you cant really tell on video

  • They are capezios...

  • u have a nice arch, just make sure ur feet dont sickle

  • Feet are sickled.

    Turnout could be improved.

Ribbons are tied in a very bad place.

Make sure its between your ankle bone and achilles tendon!

  • what is sickled?

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and tuck in your knots :]

  • yeah so you know when you do something as a beginner and your like oh im so good already!! hahaha yeah ... lets just say im better now haha this video went from good to embarassing. lol

  • Pretty good!

Tuck in your drawstrings, they can cause you to trip [not fun!], and, you are sickling alot, and remember, remember, stay on your box =]

    Keep practicing!

  • make sure you fully close fifth and youre sickling ALOT but i have that problem too its pretty easy to fix, just concentrate on it

  • stand on up on our big toe more. and yea u do need to learn how to tie those shoes. (ur bows are supposed to b tucked in!)

  • work on your turnout, and learn how to tie pointe shoes...:)

  • your great dont lisen to anyone who says mean stuff there just jealous anyways my advice is:make sure you close that fith nice and tight and tuke in your drawstrings also next time maybe some nice slow music like the violen ok? well wish u the best bye!

  • o thanks haha

  • in your releves, make sure u roll thru your whole foot, from the ball to the heel. other than that, its good =]

  • close your ffith, and dont roll over too much.

    good job :]

  • Don't forget to tuck in your drawstrings and tie your ribbons all pretty-like! =)Your feet look a lot like mine, by the way. *randomness*

  • im 16 and i've been dancing since i was 3 but ballet only since i was like 12 or so.. on and off. this video is actually pretty sucky im gonna put a new one up soon... Im all over the place in this one lol

  • hey ur good!! but try not to knuckle (scrunching up ur toes)it makes u get more blisters and it dosent look to good either but u have beautifull arches!! good luck :]

ps. what shoes do you have?

  • they are capezios i really like them!! how can you tell that im scrunching up my toes??

  • because you can see it ur foot is slightly falling out of the shoe and is not sitting in the shoes properly. :] yer i have gamba there kina comfy how are urs? :]

  • oh ok

anyways mine are pretty comfy, but you know, they're pointe shoes! ha

  • lol right... hehe i konw but mine sorta cut into my foot thats why :]

  • ooo thats nasty... yeha mine dont do that at all they fit really nice...

  • Please comment... i could use some advice.
