You forgot one crucial detail..."this" version of Alan Wake isn't identical to the very promessing looking one which was supposed to be on pc "only".

2005 Alan Wake was a Sandbox type game. The 2009 version is watered down.

The game is not that good looking.

It is the camera-effect; when you film a screen, a game looks better.

Look at forza3, when filmed from a tv it looks almost as good as GT5prologue.

When alan wake is filmed, it looks like it could match UC2. But when direct feed; it will be a lag- and tear-fest unlike anything you've ever seen. It looks nice to play though, but that is until they (konami japan) make a sequel to silent hill 2

I didn't fully read the comments but all I can say is there is NO GAME out right now on consoles that look better than Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2, if you think there are, you are clearly in denial or are ignorant to the clear proof that those games look better. I will say though, this game has AMAZING lighting!

I am digging the narration, it really adds to the already spectacular atmosphere and immersion. The light mechanic is a great idea, because even though you use guns, needing light first will mean there is always a sense of tension. Lastly I am really impressed about how cinematic it is for being a horror game. Thats an element you don't usually find in horror games. I hope this game has a demo before release I want to get my hands on it.

Does this game use the same engine as GTA IV? It seems to have a lot of similarities in graphics. Despite the fact that it's a horror game and I usually don't like the genre, this game seems very promising.

I'm watching an AW gameplay vid because I'm interested in it. Although it's been confirmed that this specific level will not make it into the final game.

And PSN is FAR more stable the XBL. XBL may have more features but PSN plays the games better.

They also don't ban your account so I can still go on another console. Just don't play games before their release dates and try to lay low for a while since there's a banwave. 1. switch of your roter,modem or internet connection for 8 hours, it may help...

2.OR if you have time change your ISP (the internet company that you have).

3.If you DO NOT have a normal Ip,and you have a dynamic one just google how to change it, it's quiet easy, and good luck :)

Im a professional chiller who professionally likes to play games the way i wanna play them. If you're "tech" you should know ps3 has waay better hardware. + I don't like computergaming so that leaves one choice: ps3. It's not that expensive anymore. Believe me, I saw an opened 360, seriously, it's crap XD

The hardware isn't really impressive ingame, the graphics card is faster in the 360 but the cell processor is faster in the ps3.. laso the 360 has a much wider library of games and has 95% of all the DLC's on the market , Xbox LIVE just simply crushes PSN by mileages,And "soon" the new consoles are out whilst also both Sony and MS has started to work on them.360 also has more exclusive titles....And oh a 3 year free warranty.

Okay i know XBL pwns PSN, but the rest is more personal preference. The ps3 hasn't even started yet, so they're gonna keep working for a while. And I think the exclusives on the ps3 are better/cooler than on the 360. Same thing again look at the rendering,shadows,lightning day and night cycle + the physics and sound and you gotta count in large enviroment almost no loading times and a free open world, for e.g look at GTA same thing it isn'r graphically intense like Crysis because GTA has a big world and needs to be rendered thats why Alan Wake is just crushingly beutiful....
