  • I never saw the end of this until now!! I guess birdmen wouldn't have given me nightmares (I was 8) if I had known the Pow Splat Bam was the ending. The beginning of this episode was sort of reminiscent of a Sherlock Holmes stories but the end is pure Batman.

  • "Ooooahhh! What the devil do you think you're doing?" hahahahahha!!!! The dialogue is so funny!

  • This is such a fun episode-I stand on my head watching the ending of this

  • I remember when the show first aired...during the summer months we had nothing but re-runs and then these English shows come in. This was my favorite episode...and Diana Rigg is looking her best.

  • Maybe I missed something, I still don't know why he killed the people who were shredded.

  • Colin <3<3<3

  • rated L for I love it

  • 5:30 to 5:40...Holy spoofery! This really was a swipe at the Batman show!

I actualy felt that during the Avengers' 1966-67 season too many of the shows were out-and-out satire and as a result not quite as suspenseful or intreguing.Of course, during this period every TV series was subject to the disease of Batmanitis.

  • @RJRanke "Batmanitis"!!!! LOL!!!!

  • Excellent.

  • @madmax8903 Yes, The Avengers is quite enjoyable in our 2011 YouTube season nowadays as well!!!

  • I love her outfit!

  • @MowgliX I just love her...

  • SPLASH!!

    BAM!! :DDD

  • Not that it makes the slightest bit of sense, but why ever would one have sliding bolts on both sides of a door?

  • when Emma opens the champagne, it looks like Diana Rigg genuinely got the fright of her life and came out of character for a second when she says "it just went with a whollop"

  • also loved the batman spoof in this one.

  • yes please more I remember as a small child wanting to be like emma peel she was my favorite classy strong independent and always able to defend herself and truly be a partner too steed it was like she was HIS body guard at times in it for the fun and adventure... the Mrs.Gale character seemed in it only for the money and was more like a business associate.

  • Thanks for posting this great series - still in love with Emma......

  • There's no blood or fleshwounds ... just ripped clothes.

That was one of The Avengers' trademark

  • And this was done around 1967-8, of course.

I remember this ep scaring the hell out of me as a kid. Those claws. :-0

Definitely one of the best of the entire show.

    Thanx a lot.

  • Thank you very much for putting this great episode of The Avengers on here. And I would like to see more great episodes of The Avengers on here. Great job and thanks again.
