  • Looks cool but i wouldnt risk it myself with all the asbestos down there

  • how many levels down did you go?

  • @carlson197

I started on the bottom level and worked my way up through the three main floors then entered the surface buildings which have two levels around the command room.

  • @rammstein2609 cool but there are more than just 3 levels by the way

  • Hi there how do you get to that door (first pic) please reply thanks :)

  • This might be the Old RAF Barnton Quarry radar filter centre. Ground Control Interception (GCI) Rotor stations at Gailes nr Irvine, Anstruther, Tiree, Buchan, passed all theiri aircraft tracked information to here and Preston filter centre.

  • has this place really got asbestos because i asked someone and they said all buildings with abestos was cleared and if it couldnt be cleared was demolished?

  • @CammyDouglas99 yeah, buildings that are actually in use

  • this bunker is riddled with asbestos. Dont do it

  • there is another bunker in the council quarry next to it. To get in there is a u shaped section of blast wall and a manhole sized convex circular hatch. when you go down the ladder there are two P.I.R's linked to the council so if you set them off the police come

  • What a scary looking place. This place is in the evening news today 25/03/2010. The owner wants to put a windmill in or something. I didn't even know this was here.

    Thanks for uploading the video.

  • i went there but the door was welded shut and the main bit was locked and welded. do you know if theres still a way in?

  • @instruMENTAL183

You have to get to the back exit tower (first pic in the vid) and climb up the hill a little. The grill at the top is broken away so you can climb in. On the inside wall to your right is a bit of conduit on the wall. Grip that with your hands and put your feet on the ledge below. There is a steel feature on the wall with three horizontal bars which you can climb down. Your in now.

  • thanks ill check it out

  • How do you get into the council owned part of the quarry then without being seen?

  • I didn't get to the exit door through the Council owned part. If you walk from above ground part of the bunker towards the main road, on your right hand side will be a path carved into the ground where people have walked. This is next to the Vodafone compound with the mobile phone masts. Run up this track and you can gain access to part of this compound. Carry on up the hill until you come to a steep slope. Walk down the slope and the door is there.

  • been there never a gain though

  • why??

  • @NeoNsilhouette 1.its very scary

    2. they ve sealed it off now 3.cba lol

  • I grew up in Corstorphine and live there again now but I didn't know this place existed. Where is it located? How do you get to it?

  • You have to get in through the emergency exit on the lower level at the back of the Council owned part of the quarry. I was there again last week and the owners have welded the door shut not. The first pic in this video shows the door. Climb up to the back of it and there is a hole in the wall. Climb down into the bunker and your in. Getting out is easy through a large hole in the surface buildings.

  • nice bunker
