Ja Nordkoreas Armee besteht aus veralteten sowjetischen Beständen, mit welchen man mit Sicherheit keinen "modernem" Krieg mehr gewachsen ist. Die Panzer sind T-34/-54/-55/-62, Typ-59. Auch die Artillerie ist komplett veraltet, genauso wie die Luftwaffe. Was Südkorea davon abhält? Die Menschenleben die so ein Krieg kosten würde. Mit Sicherheit nicht die Atomwaffen eines verrückten Diktators. Soweit ich mich erinnere sind alle Taepodongraketen abgestürzt xD, die getestet wurden.

Die Doku kenne ich bereits ebenso gewisse nordkoreanische Filme für ausländische Touristen - beides war überspitzt und subjektiv. Deswegen war ich letztes Jahr in Pjöngjang um mir selbst ein Bild zu machen.

The Soviet Union fell apart just on the maps. The Russians control almost all of the former republics, and they dont give a shit about NATO or the EU. They still got the missiles, the warheads, the resources - thats quite enough.
True, but people like scientists, artists, engineers etc. had certain small advantages (could more easily go to foreign countries, for example) so there was some strive to work a job like that. Which explains why there are so many people in Eastern Europe with higher education compared to Western Europe. North Koreans for example were like that too, but after the USSR collapsed they lost their ideological allies so they arent allowed to travel much abroad, only to work in Russia/China as I know.

Depends. They were looking to wind it up just recently, but the puppet govt actually rejected the plans to make it a colonial annex of USA. And then there's the oil law, to allow US companies to take all the profits out of the country.
Basically, they're a bit bored and they want 2 move on now, but NOT UNTIL they've got strategic bases all over the country (for 50 yrs) and all the oil is safely tied up with American companies. That's the crux I think.

Die Doku kenne ich bereits ebenso gewisse nordkoreanische Filme für ausländische Touristen - beides war überspitzt und subjektiv. Tommy Franks admitted in the May 2003 edition of Defense Week that we bribed the high command to stand down so Bush could have his Made-For-TV Invasion. Iraq's high command grounded their pilots and relocated their armies away to allow an easy invasion. Some units rebelled against the treason and fought a brave but uncoordinated defense.

Can't say its really Altaic language...coz a lot of the pronounciation and Hancha characters had been borrowed from Chinese Zhong Wen.

I think what you meant to say was that the DPRK media promotes uplifting and edifying material for mass consumption. They omit what they believe to be degrading and demoralizing. Unfortunately, serious deficiencies go uncorrected as well. The Establishment media in the U.S., on the other hand, is only free to lie, spin, and corrupt. There was a pirate accident this year near the Somali coast, where North Korea and USA worked together. After that, the North Korean media told a lot of good stuff about America, which means only one thing - there is just the need of accord. It may be isolated and somewhat repressive in terms of domestic policy, but after all it's better to have those guys on your side, rather than the side of the terrorists (DPRK doesnt sell missiles coz of its ideology, they make it just to earn some cash. You can check that out by looking the political map of the 80s - the vast majority of African, South American and Asian states were pro-Soviet. Everything that exists in these countries - as means of manufacturing and transportation - has been built during communist governments. They've beaten you in everything - economic power, population, influence, resources, military...

Take a look at Cuba. Cuba, at least by numbers, is much more poor than the democratic, capitalist, western-oriented Brazil and Romania. Compare the HDI of those - Cuba has 0.838, Brazil has 0.800 and Romania has 0.813. Cuba even has a better healthcare than those, excluding the fact that cubans get it for free. And the education. How many months did u gather up money to pay your higher education ? How many ? When in some countries you can get it for free ?

I never said communism doesn't have issues - but apparently you can't take the fact that capitalism does. Even your Wallstreet is falling apart already, you call that an "issue" ? Your space program is frozen, your trade deficit continues to grow, your agricultural output is decreasing every year. Some small "issues" you have. You can pay for education if you want - but I prefer not to waste money for it when I can have it free - I can spend those money for a vacation or buy myself a car.

The Soviet Union fell apart just on the maps. The Russians control almost all of the former republics, and they dont give a shit about NATO or the EU. They still got the missiles, the warheads, the resources - thats quite enough.

True, but people like scientists, artists, engineers etc. had certain small advantages (could more easily go to foreign countries, for example) so there was some strive to work a job like that. Which explains why there are so many people in Eastern Europe with higher education compared to Western Europe. North Koreans for example were like that too, but after the USSR collapsed they lost their ideological allies so they arent allowed to travel much abroad, only to work in Russia/China as I know.

Maybe not, we are not very expansive a country in nature anyway...But don't understand me in a wrong way, the taliban in Afghanistan had to be overthrown, and every such organization must be destroyed. The main mistake was Iraq, coz Saddam hated terrorists - they were a threat to his regime, which on the other hand opposed that stupid theocracy in Iran.

Depends. They were looking to wind it up just recently, but the puppet govt actually rejected the plans to make it a colonial annex of USA. And then there's the oil law, to allow US companies to take all the profits out of the country.
Basically, they're a bit bored and they want 2 move on now, but NOT UNTIL they've got strategic bases all over the country (for 50 yrs) and all the oil is safely tied up with American companies. That's the crux I think.

Yeah, but rebels blast up US pipelines in Nigeria as well (not US state but US companies). The thrust of their defence strategy seems 2 B about having strategically placed US bases around Iraq, so that they can bring the troops out if things get out of hand.
