Everything is connected to the middle -.- electricity is from middle and the wind turbine and water is from a flexible pipe I think o.o the may not be correct cause I just sharing what I think it is :)
how do you get out how do you get water and there is only one structural support so in a small earth quake it will claps what dumb ass came up with this
This is in fact, a residential building. The floors spin around a fixed internal structure which houses stairs and elevators....etc. Also, when you see videos that show what it will look like, they are speeding up the spinning. In reality they will be spinning much slower and you wouldn't feel the rotation.
They are actually planning on applying this technique in the U.S. in the near future.
That's what I thought. Standing at a corner of one of those spinning apartments the angular velocity would be pretty intense. I can't imagine how this would be "green" in any sense. Takes a lot of power to move that much mass that fast.
I really appreciate this! But,,, how can we move up and down to out respective floor....means what about the lifts and staircases? is this a apartment or just for show???? if yes, then when we sleep, don't we move...like one in earthquake???
whats the logic/ can anyone explain???
Dubai people are very intelligent! They make structures which are unique in the world and give money to Usa or countries which make it...if they have ideas, they should start building....lol....
Mate...this is the BBC news, but its BBC world news service which is the international version and its not available in the UK but its still run from within the same studio.
But anyway cool building, would love to see it when its done.
It's like heaven in a showroom. It could have been a bigger scam than the one Bernie Madoff pulled off.

@jonahbegone
it makes its own power, enough power to also power a couple other buildings using wind turbines
