I'm sure once it catches on as a means to challenge the bogus rulings and egregious harassment that occurs the race line will be broken. When word gets out on the street that NH is free from corruption by local government they'll have a further influx of freedom minded people.Possibly people will push for similar legislation and not move. Too bad for the soon glacier forming in NH. The forecast is the heaviest of metal too. The fed won't let NH run a muck displaying the superiority of democracy.
Why do you see this as a racial issue? I would think that if you believe your rights as an African-American were being trodden in NH, that this would give you an easy way to express your concern.
The belligerent, arrogant attitudes of these public SERVANTS are causing their own demise. They're supposed to work for the People, the People don't work for them. What ever caused them to reverse the pecking order? Authoritarianism doesn't belong in America.
I'm not sure its the State's job to implement a redress policy so much as its a citizens duty to demand a redress policy. Remember, that no government has the power to take away ANY of your creator given rights, so they also don't have the power to give them back to you.
Let me also say that I support Bob Schulz in his attempts to petition the Federal Government for redress. If this issue can build awareness of this forgotten right (never discussed in the media) then I'm all for it.
redress of grievance is one of our most fundamental rights given by the 1st amendment of the constitution it allows you to withhold all forms of tax until your grievance is redressed but the government illegally denies us this most important of rights by prosecuting us for tax evasion if we where allowed to file grievance we could stop all abusing of power by simply cutting off the cash flow until they become compliant with the rights, freedom's and or demands of the american people again
your concerns are certainly warranted about this, cautious optimism is healthy. but i am SO stoked right now. just the notion of a formal avenue for grievances is a huge step in the right direction. maybe more states will follow suit.
our government has been doing a lot to remove people's ability to participate in government. even if it's skewed and flawed, it's formal, it's there, it's positive and maybe will get people thinking more about trying to be involved in a meaningful way.
That's excellent news Dave! The Right-to-Petition dates all the way back to the Magna Carta of 1215 AD and fell first into abuse and then into disuse in the mid 19th century. So it's good to see it beginning to re-emerge in good ol' NH. I know of no other state in the union that allows the RTP process. Bob Schulz has been spearheading the re-recognition of the Right-to-Petition on a Federal level for over a decade. He has the entire & detailed of the Right on his site:

Redress of grievance. I am skeptical if this is again a god given rights , if you are white.
Our motto: Live free if your white or die.
