Simply perfect etc etc. Well, all superlatives have been used ! Love him in everything. He was such an elegant, charming and yes, goodlooking gentleman.
i found this funny probably because i hate modern shows except for colbert and daily show. i hate this generation basically so my humor is very old fashioned. i laughed alot in this xD i love fred
yeah fred if anyone did it with precision. i don't know. i guess where all being subliminally brainwashed not to like this stuff anymore. it's cool. but it bores me. likei said i think these star tv shows are pretty lame until you get to the star.
they weren't bad 0_0 they were a different kind of humor. comedy these days only get a cheap laugh. and normally people find things funny when they can relate to it. so humor can also relate to the times they live in. i personally don't find humor in today's shows =\ they try too hard
According to sources I read, AN EVENING WITH FRED ASTAIRE 1958 is the second oldest surviving color videotape in the world. Still looks good, and Fred Astaire will always entertain us. A monument in the history of TV musical specials.
They don't call him twinkle toes for nothing :)

Kinda makes you think TPTB would try and put together a golden anniversary release of this on DVD, yes? That would be a spectacular product!!

From "An Evening With Fred Astaire", October 1958.
As was mentioned earlier, this is the second oldest surviving color videotape in existence.
This first, I believe, is Ike opening the WRC-TV color studios in Washington.
Anyway, this Astaire special was restored by UCLA, and it looks beautiful. Disney channel ran restored version about 10 years ago.
Yes, where is the DVD release on this wonderful program?????
