this is the real warcraft

the "hold ground" command was revolutionary.

you can conquer entire kingdoms using 9 to 16 units in rank and file. paladins/ogres in front, archers/trolls in the second rank, catapults flanked by footmen behind them, and a free-roaming death knight/mage behind them.

Use only 3 or 4 files and you can quickly move entire ranks. knock down guard towers and plow through a kingdom like a tank.

"hold ground" kept them from breaking rank and made real strategy possible.

You can only build walls in multiplayer (online) games. In single player vs the computer, you cannot.

@Tyfyh LOLOLOL builds are not possible in starcraft, just bunker blocks /w siege tanks, you can actually do builds in wc2, and just like starcraft builds are not possible in wc3. You probably have no idea what a dual is do you?

although winnig player is skilled (violet) i think game level was not so high because they were starting with high amount of resources. In my opinion the essence of real strategy lies in effective resources disposal at he very beginning of the game. Thus I've always started with low level resources : 2000 G 1500 W . Warcraft 2 Still ma fav game 10/10

You can select in main menu neither low , medium or high resources at beginning... low should be 2000 or something , medium 5000 gold and high 10 000... cant remember exact numbers...
