Why is it that whenever we humans talk to animals, we get that goofy voice thing going? I do the same thing. And I have one goofy voice for he dogs and a different goofy voice for the cat. So what's up with that?

fable? some tips please? i have a 3 year old budgie i got when he was about 7 months old. the poor thing is never that playfull. its tamed and such. took a while (a year) to get it used to a bath. but itl just chirp. eat and fly. i considered getting it a friend but i cannot afford the bigger cage to support it. anyways i just want some tips if you can offer any on how i can get it to be more playfull?

@IceCoolG4mes craigslist usually has a bunch of used cages for cheap. sometimes they're icky, but usually they're in good condition, and a good cleaning will ensure a good cage for not much money at all.

even if you don't get another bird, your budgie might like a bigger cage with more toys and stuff to do.
