@NikkoThePinoi True, but even S2k is hard to find these days. Even with an Integra Type R (A real one), people want to baby those. To put in another engine compromises the integrity of the car and value itself. So people like to keep it within the car make.

For instance, a Toyota with all aftermarket brands such as Greddy stuff... Isn't as valuable as one would be making the same power off all TRD stuff or people with reputation making productions specifically for that car.

@vtecfan89 i am buy no means a ford fan, but a stock s2000 is far from impressive in the 1/4 mile and costs almost $37,000 depending on the options you get. you could get a GT mustang for $25,000 and dump over $10k into it before you got the price near an s2000. a stock s2000 couldnt touch a stock GT mustang let alone one with 10k worth of mods. i like s2000s, and really dislike GT mustangs, but stock s2000s are over rated for what they cost.

I got my S2K for 5gs with 79k miles, it still pulls 13.9-14 flat... thats not "far" from impressive. Of course I understand not everyone can score an S for 5gs, but 14s in the qtr is a good spot to jump from.

I didn't put the effort forth to read all of it. Assuming some one commented similarly as I previous, I chose not to be too smarmy about it. The Stock GT wouldn't keep up with an S2000 around the turns, and A mustang would be priced significantly higher if it were also an import. Kind of surprised no one has brought the up Hyundai Genesis element into this.

It's true, 10k could make the GT out handle a stock S, but I'd be more apt in making the engine as reliable as the S. Maybe matching with some forged internals. The argument doesn't go much further aside from the point of the S2000 will hold its value better than the GT. That's if you don't drive the car, but wheres that leave you? For 30k get a GTX, park it and retire off it later. So, yes, I agree with you. But I won't ever fall into the category of buying a brand new vehicle either.

i really doubt that because the s2000 has a near 50/50 weight distribution and double wishbone suspension. Those 2 things are something that you really cant fix on a mustang with that 10 grand. You could sup up the mustang to hammer the straights to pull on the s2000 and maybe take a corner better than stock form. But the mustang will never achieve the skidpad a s2000 can. dont believe me? use that 10k do the suspension and then try to beat a s2000 at AutoX.
