The keyboard flexes appear to be an issue with earlier t400 models, after some research. I would love one of these laptops, it's a shame my budget for a new laptop is too low!
T400S, a problem came, the trackpad is easy to wear out, I love to use its trackpad and don't use mouse, so the trackpad worn out in three months, any one has the same issues?
@RCROX5000 I didn't find it to be flexy, but I have hard complaints. They changed the keyboard since the T60 so if you demand something that's super solid you might not be happy. Overall most people are happy with the T410s keyboard though.
@RCROX5000 unless u are a machine. you will not feel the flex. i am typing on the t510 right now and i can detect no flex. please do not join bandwagon comments and make your own logical judgement
@newcomer9747 no it is only a data packet service. but you know Google has a VoIP service with there gmail service, you can get a free number and can call anyone with it via your computer for free, it is pretty cool. the number also can give and recieve text messages and also it has a voicemail service.
The best thing about this laptop is it kept the 16:10 aspect ratio. This is what makes the T410 the only one that survived. The T510 and W510 are stuck with the lame 16:9.
Could you please tell me the user experience of the keyboards of T410 and X201. I am looking at X201 for purchase, however, someone told me that the keyboard is much better in the T410 than the X201 (X201 use the same keyboard as the previous X and T series with no large escape keys etc, while T410 uses the old T400s keyborad). Also, X201 has the same intel i5 processor as T410, so I am assuming performance would be the same on both X201 and T410, or is it? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the nice Review of the T410! I have a question concerning the durability: I heard that the T410 does not have a Magnesium Rollcage (especially in the Displaylid). Have you ever removed the Lid of the Display? And what do you think about the durability in general?
useful video. Next time turn off your phone, don't have a bright backlit source (the window) as everything else goes to shadow, put a light on your camera to illuminate the close-ups, if you're going to show the ''standard'' equipment, at least compare it to the previous model so upgraders know if they can re-use parts (power brick, docking port), etc... Thanks!
Thanks, some good notes there. Doing the best I can with no space, no budget, and no equipment, but things will be improving.
By standard equipment, I meant that you can use any ThinkPad 20V power adapter. You're right though, I'll try to clarify stuff like that, without getting bogged down in minutia (we have a text review for that stuff).
holy fuck its win 7

Have you noticed any keyboard flex or case flexing? Did they fix that problem from the T400?

@shuyin200 I think 16:9 is better for HD movie playback, what makes you like 16:10 more?
KlingonSpider 1 year ago
@KlingonSpider 16:10 is closer to a golden ratio. The rectangle looks less wide and for computing you get more vertical screen resolution.
shuyin200 1 year ago
What is the screen on this laptop is matte or glossy? Can you work somehow comfortably against the light from the windows?
