  • This is still one of my favorite rpgs of all time

  • I'm still waiting for this to come on PSN...

  • @yuffieyuhffy I do not know but I will hunt them down, can you help me bury them

  • IMO, this opening song is better than the PSP version...

  • I LOVED this music when i was a little kid.

I'm a sixteen year old girl now and still love this ^^

Omg, i couldn't beat the enemies in the game though XD

  • How could 9 people dislike this?!

  • I loved this game from the perspective of an anime fan, and it's pretty darn good looking at it as a gaming fan, too.

  • Best. RPG. Ever.

  • @obscurepairings Right! I think they meant Carefree... lol

  • My very first RPG! I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I finished it!

  • I hope Nash dies

  • I played it last year for the first time. To be honest the story wasn't as good or complex as star ocean 2.... it felt pretty cliched... combat was alright.... it was mediocre

  • @lSeKToRl U gotta try Suikden games then, specially the 1st and 2 parts ,,,, the 2nd is the best anyway !!

  • I played this on PC what, like 13yrs ago? It wasn't the greatest game, but I think becuz it was one of my first PC RPG that I ever played, it will always be one of the top games that I ever played, lol

  • Comment removed

  • @obscurepairings I'm not sure, but I think it means that it's supposed to mean that their young ("That innocent youth") and that they have no responsibilities and they can carry on with their lives without a burden.("Careless and Kind")

  • RIP Takeshi Miyaji

  • yeah is a insult the change in the lirycs in the remake.

  • best rpg first one i play

  • where is SUIKODEN in your list?

  • @wangwangyoshi Yeah it should be Lunar 1&2, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 (3 in US), FF7, Suikoden, Xeno Gears

  • @inkmage80 And dont forget Star Ocean 2

  • @wangwangyoshi i agree, suikoden is one of the best. i like suikoden II the best though.

  • DAMN!!! I MISS THIS GAME! PS1 DAYS!! THIS WAS A LOOOONG TIME AGO! MEMOREIS! :)))

  • I've played games for over a decade on the PC but I've come to realize I have to grow up and quit games, besides the modern gaming industry has lost all it's soul and imagination, corrupted by greed.

Squaresoft games might have been my niche when I was young but today. There's only 3 RPG's on the PS that's given me unforgettable experiences Grandia, Valkyrie Profile and Lunar!

No exaggerating when I say, Lunar is my favourite game of all-time!

Best dialogues ever written! It changed my life!

  • @TheMarine250789 Don't give up on the industry yet bro. I can agree with you to a certain extent as this game deeply affected you and when you say "FF7" to someone, watch their face light up.

Like every other creative industry the fat cats appear wanting more cream. Everybody has to keep a roof over their heads. Your comment has made me realise that there hasn't been a game that has affected me like "FF7" has.

Stay kool and nice comment man.

  • @TheMarine250789

I really like Lunar too, but it's not my favorite. It's too corny. XD

Even so, this is the one game I wish there was a third one of. I know they have Dragon Song and Magic Walking School, but the don't have a third, numbered game. :(

I think they should make one about the Blue Star, especially from the true ending with Hiro and Lucia being together on there...

  • @TheMarine250789 I hear ya brah. I mean when all the people know about these days are basically Call Of Duty, God of War, and who knows what else that gets multiple sequels to cash in on the fame of those titles, you know shits gone wrong. The 80's were when video games were at their infancy and they started making games with stories, the 90's is when they mastered that art, and the 00 and on are when it all became about money money money.

  • @TheMarine250789 Have to grow up, huh.

  • @TheMarine250789

I'm also a veteran rpg -and videogames in general- player, and I loved Lunar. Yes, old good games are still the best (my favourite is Chrono Trigger!), but also many good ones have a soul.

Think about Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age, for example, or Mass Effect: they've got a solid story and memorable characters... :)

  • So many fond memories.

  • Don't talk shit about earthbound!

  • R.I.P. Working Designs. Miss their games.

  • My favorite rpg... Amazing characters, places, bosses, music, god I can go on forever about this game.

  • What zacjar12 said. Been sayin that since before gamecube came out

  • memories!!!!!!!

  • Oh wow. Haven't seen this in about 12 years. One of my favorite games ever. Instantly brought tears to this 26 year old dude's eyes

  • fuck oblivion, fuck ff`13! the old school will always reign supreme!

  • I just got brutally raped by nostalgia

  • i still own the PS1 copy with all the extras even the special leather back book was one of my child hoods best games ive ever played and its still in my damn heart and will never leave me

  • @solidus6989 I still have mine too...I just wish I could play them...but at least I still have them.

  • legend of dragoon and chrono cross are my fave rpgs...im about to play this :]

  • wow

  • Wedding song!

  • Have only played the GBA version - but this intro still makes a whole lot of sense and is AWESOME :D

  • @DevHQLessons cool. i think the ps version is the best. harder 2 find though

  • i play this game at psp the lyrics is different but the music is same nice song :3

  • Nostalgia'd hard. Loved this game.

  • I remember when I first got this game. It was so hard at first that I quit playing it for years but then I tried it again and I LOVED IT! One of my favourite games of all time.

  • I seriously forgot this TT ^ TT

  • Hey guys! everybody has been telling me about how great this game is,but I've never had the chance to play it. so i was wondering, which version should i play, the PSX version or the PSP version??

  • @6RMV Depends on what you are looking for. I've played and enjoyed both versions. For one the PSP version is a hell of a lot easier to find and a lot cheaper. The PSP version also I believe has a smoother translation, and visuals are better. More realistic looking characters than short chubby sprites. But, of course short chubby sprites have a charm of their own. The PSP version I believe has a bit more streamlined dungeons and its incredibly easy. (not enough space read next comment)

  • @6RMV The game isn't really known for being difficult at all even the PS1 version. I never got gameover once on Silver Star Harmony. Hell, I doubt even a character died. If you can find the PS1 and want aesthetics and knowing you are playing something a lot closer than the original go with PS1. Otherwise, go with PSP. A lot of purists will probably say go with PS1 version, but honestly you can't go wrong with either version they are both excellent games.

  • @ando3242 Thanx dude! i think imma go with the PS1 version. i heard the PSP Version is waayy too easy, and the PS1 version is actually kinda hard. I'm always up for a challenge :D i don't really care about Graphics and stuff, and as we all know,Old school is always better than New school!

  • awesome... thumbs up & haqve a gr8 day... peace.. amunra...

  • This made me cry so hard. I love this game to death <3

  • AHHHHH NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

  • who sings this?

  • @Twilightlover46 Jennifer Stigle

  • CLASSIC! o the memories flooding in...This, Wild Arms, Final Fantasy 7, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Legend of Legaia. To me (though there were many more) these RPGs were up there as the best on the First Playstation! MAny thx fer upload!

  • played the ds version i was so mad they changed voice actors!

  • how i wished there will still be a chance for us to have LUNAR 3

  • @Ms12071979 Really? There is Lunar 3?

  • Oh my god... I will never forget this masterpiece until i'm dead...

Seriously one of the best RPG's of all time.

  • @lawofmatthew I agree wish I had a ps1 or ps2 so I can play this again, also have part 2 man memories

  • @thedraconicone Yeah :) It was good times. Whenever you keep thinking about it, it gets brighter...

  • @dosdeydey So songs don't mean anything to you, but when I grew up on this game I got attached to music just like any character in the story itself. The new song holds nothing to the old one which I could listen to and enjoy as much as the game itself. Completely different feel.. That is my opinion and I'm sticking to it, thanks for your input though.. .. ..

  • Classic <3

  • best ;)

  • And I tought Sega CD version was good. Dawn! This is perfect!

  • I swear I'm going to buy every version of this game. The original, PS1 version, GBA version, and PSP version.

<3 Perfect. Such an underrated RPG.

  • @TheEscapedBalloon don't waste your money on the PSP version. Just my opinion though. I beat it and was completely disappointed. The magic was ripped away from it.

  • @dilandauomi

It feels exactly the same honestly..

  • @TheEscapedBalloon nah. I've bene playing the Lunars since the Sega CD days. I love the PS remake, I loved the GBA port, the PSP version blew hard. It was more of a bother to play it than a pleasure. It wasn't original, just a direct copy of SSSC. The sprites were stiff, there was no fluidity to it. Their feet didn't even move when they walked to attack!!! Not to mention they took out the part at the end with the ocarina. Eternal Blue better not be like this if they decide to remake it =/

  • now this intro was wat i was looking for when i popped in harmony into my psp... and i started crying cause it wasn't the intro i wanted... WHY!!!

  • @Gulliman01

    Amen, brother!

I mean, sure the original lyrics are a bit narmy and nonsensical, but the song flows beautifully here and the singer is truly ernest in her performance. The Remake's song feels so much weaker. Why couldn't it just have been the same?

  • @Gulliman01 I recall hearing the Lunar Harmony intro. It's similar but different enough to not have the same impact as this. But, it could be worse. Thankfully they still got the angelic Jennifer Stigile to sing it.

  • @Gulliman01 The interview stated with XSeed was that the new song was closer to the original lyrics. This one is a classic, but I still remember the Sega CD Lunar intro.

  • dimaman15 is right ...but the best is CHRONO TRIGGER ..it`s perfect

  • This was the coolest god damn thing when I was little.

  • The intro song just Blow me away! No more hardcore, violent, zombie, cool games for me just need to finish Luna:Harmony

  • Best JRPG ever made! All I can say is - LOVE it, great game, with a beautiful story, and magnificent soul, if you havent try it, I beg you for the love of god - just try it!

  • This intro reminds me of kiki's delivery service. It's like a song made of pure hope. Some might call it too corny, but you really never stop smiling when you hear it.

  • I played Lunar Legend when I was a kid and absolutely loved it but the music to this is just... -facepalm-

  • halariously cheesy :)

  • lol, the song for Silver Star Harmony is different, at least the lyrics are.

  • Why would they change the lyrics for SSH? Seriously, it's blasphemy, like rereleasing FFVII and changing the soundtrack. You don't take something so beloved like the music from this game and rework it, even if it was to come out better (WHICH IT DIDN'T, worst lyrics EVER) it still would not be well-recieved. This is a part of my childhood that has been taken out back and pissed on by yet another corporation.

  • @ThirdCorinthian

Most likely the rights to the SSS song were from someone not currently in the new dub group, so legal claims would have be set in motion :(.

  • @Germakrain ive played both legend of dragoon and grandia. I'm not saying those were bad; because they were actually amazing, just not my three favourite.

  • lol alex pooped his pants at 1:51

  • Most MEMORABLE game ive ever played, and ive played ALOT, if you like rpgs, EPIC storyline, well designed charecters with ALOT of personality definatly pick this up. Ill even add this....I CRIED DURING THIS GAME, NUFF SAID.

  • If you watch the video you see all these cool characters and flying dragons and stuff like that. Then you hear the song... And I'm like... WHAT??? Couldn't there be a cooler song with this vid? I know it's the theme song and all but.. Really??

  • Why did they change this in the PSP version? Even if they couldn't use the original audio track they should have at lest used the same lyrics. I was so hyped when I bought this off the Playstation store...and the moment someone said "Far away" I was like fail...

  • @delitachan and u can't forget the racism

  • Really good game, this video really bring back old memories

  • I'm a proud owner of both of the PSX versions of this and Eternal Blue. THE best PSX games of their time. As far as story goes, I'd even go so far as to say it's better than Final Fantasy 7, It just didn't get the publicity that it more than deserves. Eternal Blue is almost as good too.

  • @Kaxtz FF7 sucked nuts - the only thing that made it popular was loser hermit anti-social fanboys drooling over Tifa's tits.

  • @delitachan I think the ony reason it got popular was because of Advent Children when they changed Cloud to Emo... then all the emos came out from hiding and said that they are the same as cloud and sephiroth... tsk tsk..

  • @delitachan I agree. FF7 is an ok game, but not better than Lunar Silver Stary in a longshot!

  • tifa was hot you asshole

  • I did not get too far in this game so can someone tell me what the sword is called?

  • iremember droping MY PSX once and nall screamed WHATS GOING ON HERE!!!

  • Lunar: Silver star story, Final Fantasy 7 and Chrono Trigger. The 3 best rpgs of all time.

  • @dimaman15

    Top notch list.

  • @dimaman15 I couldn't agree more, those would be my top 3 as well.

  • @dimaman15 got to put Xenogears, FFT, Chrono Cross up in the top ten

  • @CptCanuck00 I agree with you (Xenogears FTW!) and dimaman15. Actually, I'd also like to add Breath of Fire 3 and Suikoden 2.

Aw man, it truely was the golden era of RPGs back then....

  • @dimaman15 You are like, God talking on Youtube.

  • @dimaman15 FFVI was better than VII, IMO. =p

  • @AngelsNecropolis aw man i wouldn't know, i've only played ff7 and onwards

  • @dimaman15 my favourite top 5 rpg games of all time are (1)chrono cross, (2)FF 9, (3)Grandia I, (4)FF 7 and lastly (5)lunar I... = )

  • @crankyboiy chrono cross was good and all but imo can't hold a candle to chrono trigger.

  • @dimaman15 Crono cross!

  • @dimaman15 I got 3 more for you, Chronno Chross, Final Fantasy IX and Pokemon (If we forget story, only gameplay)

  • @dimaman15 and also phantasy and shining force

  • @dimaman15 and also phantasy star and shining force

  • @dimaman15 I totally agree!!!

  • @dimaman15

Cool, you didn't include Xenogears or Earthbound.

  • <3 that's it.

  • I can't help but sing along, and run out of breath doing so, ha ha.

  • This version is fantastic, who says it isn't don't know a shit about games...I love the old games, but when they made with better graphics, wow!!It's like FF7 with PS3 graphics, what do you want? This game is AWESOME and the older versions are AWESOME!!This is LUNAR SILVER STAR MY FRIENDS

  • This was a brilliant game for its time. Hell, it still is. No matter what's going on in my life, this and Wind Nocturne (The original, not the psp crap) will always brighten my day!

  • 1st RPG i ever played/beat/owned/fell in love with

  • @chrisbary hey how long does it take to beat this game plus the side quest and stuff

    like 30? or 40 hours ??

  • @XXXXNanoXXXxxx sounds about right! it's fun to level up so maybe 40 hours. i can beat it in about 22 hours if i set my mind too it

  • omg... where's my sega cd....

  • greatest game ever made for the ps1 hands down

  • you know I still have this game saved on my memory card for ps2 from when it first came out. This was an awesome game...

  • And I'm back in middle school.

  • Much better than the psp version. I hate that song.

  • I love Nal!

  • ONLY THE BEST RPG EVER!!! The 2nd game wasn't that bad but this was way better!! :D

  • I love this game... the intro makes me all gay and shit but it was a really good RPG and gives me a bit of nostalgia from when i was little. FUZZY DRAGONS, YAY!!!

  • i wanna play it

  • I Love it. Be sure to check out my channel for my Lunar and other vintage gaming playthroughs, cheats, hints, tips and more!

  • I MISS THIS GAME!!!!

  • Boo.. I was excited to play SSH.. Then the intro song kicked in and it wasn't this song.. Disappointment!! Hope nothing else I liked about SSS changes T_T

  • @joshuarawr me too. but that's because the ones who did the original lyrics didn't agree that's why they were forced to renew the lyrics.

  • @joshuarawr Yeah, the SSH intro song is abyssmal; the WD version was cheesy, but at least it made sense, and at least it fit the music. I don't know what the hell the SSH people did, but it sucks.

  • @joshuarawr the new song from SSH does actually ryhme, but I like this better better

  • @joshuarawr Agreed :(

  • @joshuarawr just play it on PC with emulator the original rom, voila!

  • @joshuarawr so the intro made you feel disappointed...its not that big a deal now if they majorly fucked up the characters or changed the story alot then yeah but why get piss over like a 2 minute song you can easily skip.......

  • everything in the PSP remake is good except for the following:

voice/song changes and not able to move in the map. It makes me wanna play the original one. (how can they ruin Luna's [boat] song?!)

  • hey fans of this song, put this in your search ,,LUNER SILVER STAR HARMONY,they changed the song same tune different words ,check it out see if you like it ?let me know.

  • @baone91 No, the new song sucks. BADLY.

  • One of the best games i've ever played, the storyline was awesome, never did beat it though, couldn't kill Galleon.... that son of a bitch!.

  • The PS1 sounds like mystery then light. The theme of the PSP one was like a fairytale born out of an adventure... I prefer the first one though.

  • Are singers of both versions the same on the intro song?

  • I believe SSH is similar to SSS, just a few minor changes. Check IGN for more details. SSS was a nice remake of the original Lunar, as there were definitely some gaps in the story that needed to be addressed. Not perfect, but a nice addition.

  • What's the difference (aside from how long its been) between Silver Star Story and Silver Star Harmony??? I saw SSH but i haven't gotten news of whatever has been added/changed/improved.

  • i got the psp version and i like this one better

  • i don't have any psp but got this game already XD can't wait to get one

  • i'm playing psp version and i must only fight ghaleon for finish

  • In all honesty guys, If you haven't played the PSP version, don't knock it yet. Give it a shot. If you have played just the demo, there are a lot of awesome character moments for the new cast you have yet to see. Spike Spencer is pretty amazing as Nall. The new voices for the cast while different, bring forward a maturity to the characters that fits with the new translation which has a mature tone in general. The supporting cast voices are professional VA's this time instead of random employees.

  • I like this opening better but I think the PSP remake actually improved a lot of things. At least Ghaleon doesn't sound like a pedo anymore.

  • I to be honest don't like the PSP version, I started playing it yesterday and man luna's song changed and the title screen song did too. Nall sounds like a guy going through puberty now I miss his kid voice.

  • The PSP remake was bull if you liked the original.

  • the remake for psp make the song wrost then this

  • greatest playstation one game EVER hands down everything was so well done in the game

  • this is such a great game!

  • the lyrics are totally different try to listen at the official website

  • It's the song on the remake for PSP. I love this version on the PS1 more.

  • This game is great I have this one and eternal blue

This song gives me the chills the music the lyrics are

Great the story the characters every thing. I truly

Recommend this game a must have.

  • I used to have this when I was younger but it got scratched and broke I really want it again. Its mental how any gamer I know has never actually heard of this game :S

  • Dude... that's just sad...

Personally, thankful I still got my working complete copy.

  • I can sympathize. I broke my Red Dragon Thunderzord when I was a kid when I wanted to make it a paratrooper.

  • if i still had a working copy, then i would still be playing this game

anybody know where i can get a working iso for an emulator?
