You must also be more cunning and stealthy than your prey. Now, in a safari situation, you are usually at less than 200 yards. However, a lion or cape buffalo can close that distance remarkably fast. It may take two or more shots to put it down as well. It is an even fight.

I know of several people who have recently joined a group whose sole purpose is to hunt down and execute...yes execute, cowards just like this in Africa. Environmental terrorism? Yep, I support that. As for everyone here who feels it was right to shoot the lion- picture this...this lion is only eating because it is trying to survive. Are these people trying to kill a lion to survive due to hunger? NO! Also, I don't give a rip if these peeps are licensed or not- they are disrupting nature, and should be lion food.

These people should be prosecuted- hands down. There is no reason for hunting these majestic animals! Humanity is in the millions, and lions are not even HALF of our population! If I ever catch a hunter shooting at animals for sport, THEY will be shot. Promise on that.
