  • me again. I just started doing this craft again. I never did too much with it before but looking at your wonderful work, just sent me right back to try it again. What my question is,.... What is your favorite way to color the card? I tried my markers today but it is a very faint color, (which I rather enjoy). But yours are so colorful and gorgeous. Well, hopefully you won't mind my questions. thank you dear.

  • these realy are fantastic, so much detail and the colours are great! im fairly new to parchment. when you colour in part of the design do u do that 1st or do you emboss it 1st?

  • @lala09la The designs are coloured first, then embossed afterwards :-)

  • I've never seen anything like this...absolutely stunning! Tutorials would be a wonderful thing...start off with some relatively easy pieces. Thank you for showing us your beautiful work!

  • your work is excellent I keep going it over and over again I am very thrilled toknow that persons are using their teaching abilities to provoke others to good works, may God continue to bless the works of your hands

  • oh Rachel. I have long been in love with Parchment work but have never never seen work like this. You are fabulous are all you do but this work far exceeds all work I have ever seen. And I am old. LOL. What magnificent work. Only now, we need some tutoring dear. What is the best thing to work on. As a pad, I am asking? Or light box?

  • @1sweetbonbon Thanks for your kind comments! I have never used a light box for parchment craft. If you use patterns as I have done they are easy enough to trace without the need for a light box. For embossing work, I use the Pergamano embossing pad. Hope that helps :-) Rachel

  • Fabulous cards

  • can you buy rainbow coloured parchment or vellum please ? they are beautiful look forward to your reply, doreen

  • @doreenfarnham1 Yes, you can buy rainbow and coloured parchment. Pergamano would be the brand I recommend as it is designed for parchment craft and is a good heavy weight.

  • Beautiful creations ........

  • Just BEAUTIFUL!

  • Those are just absolutely stunning!! Thank you so much for sharing them.. you're an inspiration to the rest of us.

  • oh my goodness. how much detail and now I can gather a bit more how talented and skilfull you are. Wow! And a whole bunch of artwork. Awsome! Could you make a tutorial on the basic techniques and tools you use? I mean not a whole project, but maybe a small example from which to go further or something? That would be awsome! I hope you have a great time! Thank you for sharing this.

  • amazing work, bravo, it is brilliant

  • LOVED your work!! Until now I have preferred white work because all the colour I had seen was too dominating. Yours however, is very subtle and appealing. Great viewing and I was sorry when it was over.

  • They are all lovely it s a shame you never gave a demonstration of how to make one. I ve ordered a step by step parchment guide book so I can make the cards to.

  • OH MY GOSH! I have wanted to do some parchment crafts for quite a while now. The problem is I haven't had the finances to purchase the tools. You have done beautiful work! I love the butterflies. But I really love the one with the cat!!!! I'm a cat lover, and we have 2 at the moment. Neither of which is a tabby. But they both have a catatude.

  • Hi RachO113, thanks for sharing your cards! I have also made a few of the same patterns. Love Christine's butterfly designs! Wonderful to see that you also share an interest in parchment craft. The fan you made is absolutely stunning!! Hope you have had it framed by now. Thanks for sharing all your other wonderful projects with us too!

  • WOW Rach0113, no words could ever describe how beautiful and special your cards are, they certainly do give everyone seeing them alot of inspiration as to what can be achieved, will be looking out for more of your excellent work. Thanks for sharing them with us.

  • OMG, Rachel that is beautiful parchment work

  • sooo pretty, TFS!! out of curiosity...i know it's parchment paper being used for this technique but is it the same parchment used for baking?? thanks.

  • @luckygallm Hi, The parchment paper used in this craft is much thicker than that you would use for baking, though saying that, it is still rather delicate to work with.

  • wow, gorgeous. i'm speechless. you are so talented. absolutely stunning.

  • These are simply beautiful! I have been wanting to try this craft for some time. These examples have inspired me to give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

So much detailed cutting, wow! The single butterfly one, with the hold lines is absolutely exquisite. Such incredibly nice work. I wish I knew how to make these. Do you have a tutorial on how these can be made? I'd like to try it :)

  • Absolutely beautiful, all of them!

  • Very beautiful Rachel. I love parchment. I made favors using parchment and I love the ending result. It's really fun especially when using your embossing folders. I'm waiting for my TH embossing folder. Really want to use the Bingo one with Parchment. TFS!

  • These are absolutely gorgeous and a shame to leave in a box. I love them and you're very artistically inclined. Did you sketch and cut these free hand. Wonderful job as always on everything that you do. Thanks for sharing your talents....

  • @suziecrafter10 Hi Susan, I used a pattern for most of these designs which gives you the basic outline. Obviously all the colour and shading is up to the individual. Usually there are cutting and embossing instructions too.

  • Very nice!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • OMG!! Beautiful cards you made. Are they for sale? jk TFS!!!

  • @lazycatz37 Hi, Thanks for your lovely comment. Unfortunately, these are not for sale as I keep them to send to close friends and family :-)

  • Omg I have never seen anything like this... wow how did you learn?? I would love to be able to make cards like that for my grams.
