The best stategy for beating him is to take one Blue Pikmin and throw it at the egg,then run back to the base and put the Blue Pikmin back in the Onion,then get a bunch of Red Pikmin and throw them at the Smokey Progg's face until it dies then take the Golden Pearl and get 100 Pikmin

I remember my first encounter. I was bringing 2 parts back and I nocited that the number of Pikmin on field was dropping at a alarming rate. I went to see what happened and it came out of no where and finished off the rest of the 100 Pikmin in seconds.

this boss is not hard at all, actually, you had quite a bad performance(sorry, I don´t know if this was your 1 time or somthing) but the first time you face it, you´re problably playing the game for the 2 time, and you discover it, unprepared n all. But for the 2 or 3 time you face it, you just beat him easily, and even more easily if you´re playing in npc
