I looked under every song by CHIC! Until I found this,Have the album in my garage, but didn't remember the original name, best time of my life.I had the Love of my Life in my arms as we sang this together at a CHIC Concert,Wow,what a fool I was to let her get away,Playing on the side, broke her's and my heart, the one you want, the one that encourages you, believes in you, there is only one fellows, and if you got her now, you'd better hold on, or remember the times alone.I'm remembering that tonight.
Queens NY dance to this many times in those steamy basement parties and you know what I'm tawkin about! I got the chance to meet Bernard way back in the early eighties, was shock to hear of his passing, RIP my brutha!
I don't think this is Tony Thompson on drums. Chic didn't start touring with a horn section until after Bernard died.. and that is DEFINITELY not Bernard on bass. Bernard's tone was never that sharp. This bass player sounds like he's playing a Jazz Bass. This is either Jerry Barnes or Barry Johnson on bass and it's either Omar Hakim or Ralph Rolle on drums. Most likely Jerry and Omar. Sylver (vocalist) says they're in Montreaux..
I'm glad to hear the whole live track on a good song from Chic. Unfortunately, Bernard Edwards, Tony Thompson Alfa Anderson and Luci Martin is not on this track. This track features the latest Chic line up with Sylver Logan singing lead.
Sylver and Jessica did a good job with this. The pic had the other members and I would've liked to hear a live version from that line up. I'm not taking anything from this version.
