Dave Cash était mon grand oncle et s'appelait Johnny en réalité. Sa femme Lola, la soeur de ma grand-mère et d'origine Polonaise, s'appelait Lydia. Johnny mourut en 1981 des suites d'un cancer, et Lola en 2001. Il eut trois cabarets. Je collectionnais déjà les 78 tours étant gamin et Lola m'a offert l'album personnel de Johnny avec la plupart des titres parus en ce format. Les 78T Elesdisc on été réédités chez Melodisc. Plus tard, des 33 et 45 tours parurent chez Barclay et OSI.

A la fin des années 50 j'allais le voir chaque année dans son cabaret, vers Pigalle et il était formidable. Il était également un excellent humoriste.
