  • I like ur channel Man!! Sick xD

  • Wow.. Now that's proof in engineering right there. I need to get me some lvl 5's

Love the vid. Just go to spl comp and plug into wall... W have a winner. LOL

  • things a fucking TANK

  • Awesome

  • kinda looked like my lightning audio i smoked yesterday,... hahaha

  • kinda stinky huh...lol

  • my XL 18 lasted like .5 seconds whats up with that! haha.. but mannnn that lvl 5 lasted a good time.

  • now for 220 lol

  • thats weak i thought that level 5 would last longer than that my RE sx sat there for 5 min and just got extremely HOT where i could barely even touch center.. cut it up and the coil was still shiny :)

  • @jesseadkins187 do you have any pics?I have 3 of the new sex 12's&on each sub the tinsels burnt like butter with less than 500 rms!! soldered on some home made tinsels that I fabricated & they handle around 800 rms for about 7 to 8 minutes(some say over 1000 but I say there on crack) before I can smell coil but can handle 650 rms all day & They do get impressively hot when 800 watts is pushed to them

  • @jesseadkins187 What was the SX wired to and did you measure rise? He could be/ probably is wired lower.

  • @grimreper912003 first i wired it in series for a 4 ohm load then wired it down to 1 ohm and ended up tripping a breaker

  • Rob who were these rebuilt for again? Lol. Man I really cant thank you and all of DC Audio enough for these. I greatly appreciate the vid and cant wait to see pics of them complete with the custom caps I sent. I will do all in my power to do these things justice and set great scores just as they are known for.

  • not bad, but ive seen a nightshade last alot longer though :/ and they're 1/2 the price. what was the ohm load btw?

  • @SuBLiMeXGoLd 1ohm good sir! I've also socketed a nightshade but it lasted 5secs. lol Ive also done this to many other subs of various brands. Sometimes they go up fast and sometimes it takes forever lol Next one I do I will do it at 4ohm and see how long it lasts lol

  • @Thorshammer1488

nice, thats impressive. surprised you didn't trip the breaker though @ 1ohm.

  • Comment removed

  • The song used to blow it was "Justin Bieber - Baby"

  • You also can't bottom out an xl without ripping spiders :)

  • god dam lvl5 is a beast to take it that long

  • u can pull the leads out from their stitches, but u cant bottom em out lol, atleast thats what ive done, i love my lvl 5 12 even with the broken basket lip making the coil hit once in a while, any normal sub would have been broken, but once i finally get that 15" frame n recone in i will have videos of what it can do on a aq3500 at half an ohm :D

  • i bet you matts pissed LOL that thing is a freaking champ rob! make em sexy for matt! team DBS ftwww

  • @freshman69699 thanks dan. team dbs ftw!

  • I wish i had that sub

  • Did this to my AQ ... could never get rid of that burnt smell after.

So long story short, one time and one time only lol

  • does rusty still make these?

  • @massmurdere the 10in has been discontinued i think, the lv5 only comes in 12,15 and 18in.

  • @HitemWithTheFlex Incorrect. I will build them anytime someone wants one ;) In fact Ive built quite a few since moving out here to Reno lol

  • @Thorshammer1488 thats cool, i thought they were discont. because they were taken off the site, but that shows you, DC FTMFW!!!!

  • Ill be ordering 3 of these similar subs. Looking forward to feeding them tons of power and gettin half loud from a trunk. DC for the win!

  • i can lvl it out... hook it to 30,000 wats and burp it

  • @jamesttripp Been there and done that!

  • @Thorshammer1488

    MORE THEN ONCE !!!! LMAO

  • @Thorshammer1488 haha yah i did it to a 6 inch m class sub and blew the surround off and it cought fire lol

  • gangsta

  • If i remember right, the lvl 5's dont bottom out because the spiders stop them from traveling that far to the back plate?

  • @07Deadsoul Truth. Also due to the depth of the motor.

  • @Thorshammer1488 yessir :) but i just blew my lvl5 18.... box was too big :/

  • @thorshammer1488 its funny tho that a wall socket takes for ever to cook 1 even after treading on it when didnt you blow them easily with those 9k's or was that just the surrounds busting

  • id like to put that in my friends ear at 4 in the morning XD

  • *impedance wise

  • What was the sub wired to?

  • @123imdeaf 1 ohm.

  • hell yeah...u stayed in it for a while...good stuff bro!!!!

  • And that why we run DC Audio :)

  • Haha your dumb but I love ya bro... Can't wait to see my recones on Friday!! With the hammers special touch!! Lol ps this is Eric haha

  • @digitalkillu Oh they is some sexy mofos!

  • @bloodblitzowns11 exactly man wire it up and plug it in and watch the fireworks

  • dam took over a minute thats crazy man

  • @sikvibration Honestly I was starting to get bored lol

  • That's sick. I'm running a dd 9515f, but always wanted a lvl 5. Still do, lol. What a monster of a little sub.

  • wut does it mean to wall socket a subwoofer as in like plug the speaker wire into the wall socket???

  • @bloodblitzowns11 Yes sir 120v straight from the wall lol.

  • @Thorshammer1488 o ok thanks haha

  • y do u that its a good woofer

  • @Hummer14able This particular woofer is getting a makeover for a customer. New monster surround and upgraded softparts. So why not have some fun lmao!

  • @Thorshammer1488 Dude really appreciate all the work you put into these for me. Cant wait to see final pics or a vid of them completed. Big shout out to you, rusty, and all of DC Audio. Thank you all.
