  • Despite the playbackish times of the 80's, so not counting the maybe-faked singing/instrument playing part, this IS a fantastic stage performance! Amazing dance/rhythm (r&b) density like with no other band. How they move along with the music -- pure magic! (This was my first time watching on tv the band perform, no wonder I got hooked on them KATG!) "You are the best, seem to stand out from the rest" -- True!

  • Robert "Kool" Bell, Ronald "Khalis" Bell, Dennis "DT" Thomas, James "JT" Taylor, Robert "Spike" Mickens, Clifford "Silk" Adams, Curtis "Fitz" Williams, Michael Ray, Charles "Claydes" Smith, and George "Funky" Brown make up one of the greatest r&b jazz pop bands of our time..............................The legendary KOOL & THE GANG (1979-1987).

  • @MrTrent74

With that line up, you reduce the group to their commercial success...moreover, the group changed members very frequently over the years -apart some regular ones present since the beginning- between 1979 and 1982, for instance there were other members than those quoted here;...not to talk about all those that came and left in the 1970s...

  • was this in Birmingham, England?

  • Oh yessssss!! Love it!

  • c'est magique

  • that's the stuff
