  • My mistake every one. I thought Enya was in this song. Apparently she is not. My bad. So I have removed her name from the video title.

  • so you know, Clannad is not Enya, it's Enya's sister Maire Brennan. They are actually very different

  • @NewProphet11 Thanks for the information. I have to conclude that you are right about Enya not being a part of this song. I thought she was. But I have not been able to find any information that proves that she contributes in any way to this song. So I have removed her name from the title and from the tags.

  • @batlady2 Enya did perform background vocals in Clannad's early albums like Cran Ull and Fuaim, (1980-82) it was the family band after all, But she started her solo career after that and essentially took the sound Clannad had developed and made it her own in a more pop chart friendly way. IMO Maire Brennan has a much better voice than Enya

  • @NewProphet11 Yes, you're right. I have been reading more about the history of the band on Wikipedia. I first heard Enya back in 87 I think it was. When the song Orinoco flow came out. I was captivated by her sound as back then I had not heard any thing like it before. It was not until years later I found out she started from a band called Clannad and thats when I started looking for their music as well and have been a fan of both ever since.

  • I thought this was Clannad, not Enya.

  • @Imbealcariel Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me how much you enjoyed my video!

  • The difficulty in translating Irish or Galic to English id the totally different use of grammar and tense. This translation gets the meaning farley much right though. Excellent idea and excellent effort . :-)
