Nothing against G's (My dad has a G35x, but I've driven the G coupe), but you will never make a G handle like an S2K (SBM MY05 FTW). The S is made specifically to be a car you can take to a circuit. The fact that an S2k's competitors are the 350z and RX8 (pwn those all day) is a feat.
G35s are like civics, you see one on every corner. also the fact that theirs a 10:1 ratio of girls driving them lolz. and its not really a unique car, the interior looks all plasticky and the engines are the engines you would find on your run of the mill altima, not really a "sports" car now is it?

And for taxation purposes the engine is multiplied by 1.5 so its a 2L for taxing. At any rate, if you've ever had an RX you'd know that they drink oil and gas and have next to 0 torque.

Eh neither car is really very fast. I have put down multiple G35s with a 1982 Mustang 5.0 lol nearly stock. My car only cuts mid 14s @ 96 mph here in AZ and still beats them. Usually stock G35s do around 15.0 @ 92 mph here.

yep still sucks. I own a G, and I know it sucks. Not just because its slow. But because it just isn't a very reliable car.
at 5k, I needed a new motor. Infiniti Corporate were at first refusing to warranty it because they said I 'raced" with it. LOL
But the car only had 5k.. It was buring 1.5qt every 1k miles.
Months later, 5 more G35 coupe went in for the same problem. That's when I got a call that they will grant me a new Long block under warranty. I had to do the OC test all over
i can't speak for the other g35 people, but with some of that racing you are doing its not wonder the motor & other parts gave in, but i also can't rule out the fact that you also bought a lemon.

the s2k has an i/h/e. nothing more. giving it those mods make it an even race of power. plus those mods really dont add much hp cause the s2k already comes pretty much built from factory. ive seen s2k's with the same mods beat stock g37's..if you dont believe me youtube it haha. what it comes down to is the g35 is too heavy with not enough hp to make up for its weight. not hating on the g because they do look and sound really good. just calling it like it is.
man i own an 05 g 6 speed with the rev up model and i raced my friend in his 05 s2k he has exhaust and suspension and yea he still pulled on me but i still love my G im even considering to buy an s2k

Really are we doing this on the Internet? #1 242Hp out of a v8 is nothing to brag about (kinda sad) #2 run a S2k with a 15% lower gear change (IE 4.77) which is more then fair considering torque levels and the fact u re-geared and on any track or road and see what happens. I'm a hard core Chevy fan that got a Honda cuz it's Pretty, I sold a 79 Camaro with 400hp to buy it.
#1 242hp isnt much to brag about but its a 89 show me anything type of honda from the late 80's even 90's that made that power...ok the motor is low compression and everything came forged all internals basically built for low psi power adder and sorry my car was not re-geared with those numbers stock 3.08 i recently installed 3.73 but track hasn't open yet to see diff numbers...

dude I've had my s2k for about 2 years with stock gears now and never got it over 140mph. and on a daily basis a 13.5 sec quarter time out of an n/a 2.0 with 4.77's would make me happy as hell. I don't need to run but about 120 to win most races. that generally when ppl pus out!
Well if you're racing me and it's close which it probably will be if you're doing 13.5 because i'm doing 13.2-13.3 stock than i'd take it to 140-150 i've done it several times and after 100 you'd be losing because like i said it jeoperdizes your top end fo sure, how do i know that because my buddy did it and he's running awesome quarter times but his top end is totally fucked.
I'm was running a 13.8 stock with nothing done to it and since installed header back intake short shifter blahblahblah but ain't re ran the quarter since all part have been installed. u saying it runns out of steam after 100mph or top end in just too limited (if it's too limited where is he topping out at with the 4.77's)
actually on paper the s2k has the advantage on paper. G35 has 136 kW/t where as the S2k has 145 kW/t. Don't state things as fact if you don't really know.

Not trying to argue, but just throwing it out there. the s2k is a great car but not the most efficient motor HP per liter wise.
Try mazda's RX line. in 2004 the rx8 put 238 at the crank. A 1.3L rotary, about 183 HP per Liter.

at 15k, the dealership noticed that my tires had irregular tire wear. They gave me an alignment and the problem persisted. At 17k I needed new tires.
Then my car started squeaking. I took it in. At 20k the compression rod bushing cracked. Fixed under warranty.
My rear axle also was clicking and clanking, a few bolts were LOOSE and they had to add more grease to the axle.
At 25k, both window motors went bad. Fixed under warranty.
I noticed my driver side seat was tearing. Also replaced

the s2k has an i/h/e. nothing more. giving it those mods make it an even race of power. plus those mods really dont add much hp cause the s2k already comes pretty much built from factory. ive seen s2k's with the same mods beat stock g37's..if you dont believe me youtube it haha. what it comes down to is the g35 is too heavy with not enough hp to make up for its weight. not hating on the g because they do look and sound really good. just calling it like it is.

to be honest... s2k's come from the factory with pretty much adequate everything... bolt-ons on an s2k are basically just for sound with minimal hp/ tq gains especially when compared to gains of other cars.. the best bolt-on for an NA s2k other than a SC/Turbo kit would PROBABLY be a test pipe to get the best affordable gain..

first of all no 2004 g35 came the with vq35de rev , they only have the vq35 de second of all i hear no 2nd or 3rd gear chirp, so the G is auto or the guy driving sucks. yes i drive a G but i love s2k's , personally i think a s2k would from rolls since its so light

This is weak I beat a honda s2000 in my lincoln ls I know what they can do. The high revving engine is nice but too susceptible to total engine failure and crank walk

BS, i put 3-4 lengths by 80 mph on a lincoln ls in my 05 s2k, and i only have an intake, and i didn't even launch hard because i smashed him from a roll 2 mins prior.
And I have NEVER heard of a f20c or f22c getting crank walk, ever.

I'm sorry you feel that way but I have dusted a S2000 don't know what year but I guarantee you he didn't see the passenger taillight of my car. I am sorry but it does have an unreliable engine don't believe me boost it stock and see what turns up. I'm not butt hurt at all btw didn't jenifer love hewitt drive one of those in a movie. I'm just saying whenever I see one I just expect to see someone with a vagina driving it. Anyway the G isn't the only horse in my stable

I watch all these vids on youtube and these G35's are getting beat left to right..Idk what's up with that. I own an 05 G and I love s2k's but I've beat 2 S2K's that are modded...granted they were on 20-40mph rolls. My G is bone stock and an auto and those drivers in S2K are experienced racers also...so what gives in these vids?

Really are we doing this on the Internet? #1 242Hp out of a v8 is nothing to brag about (kinda sad) #2 run a S2k with a 15% lower gear change (IE 4.77) which is more then fair considering torque levels and the fact u re-geared and on any track or road and see what happens. I'm a hard core Chevy fan that got a Honda cuz it's Pretty, I sold a 79 Camaro with 400hp to buy it.

#1 242hp isnt much to brag about but its a 89 show me anything type of honda from the late 80's even 90's that made that power...ok the motor is low compression and everything came forged all internals basically built for low psi power adder and sorry my car was not re-geared with those numbers stock 3.08 i recently installed 3.73 but track hasn't open yet to see diff numbers...

I have nothing against honda's SOMETIMES they are fast...but most of the time its just the little ricers that think an intake and exhaust is gonna make them unstoppable they gotta realise NO..my friend has a bubble with a k series swap FULLY BUILT everything from aftermarket block tooo much money in it...its been to the track twice best run 11.4 @ 149mph on a street tire no doubt with some tires 9 sec car

dude I've had my s2k for about 2 years with stock gears now and never got it over 140mph. and on a daily basis a 13.5 sec quarter time out of an n/a 2.0 with 4.77's would make me happy as hell. I don't need to run but about 120 to win most races. that generally when ppl pus out!

Well if you're racing me and it's close which it probably will be if you're doing 13.5 because i'm doing 13.2-13.3 stock than i'd take it to 140-150 i've done it several times and after 100 you'd be losing because like i said it jeoperdizes your top end fo sure, how do i know that because my buddy did it and he's running awesome quarter times but his top end is totally fucked.

I'm was running a 13.8 stock with nothing done to it and since installed header back intake short shifter blahblahblah but ain't re ran the quarter since all part have been installed. u saying it runns out of steam after 100mph or top end in just too limited (if it's too limited where is he topping out at with the 4.77's)

actually on paper the s2k has the advantage on paper. G35 has 136 kW/t where as the S2k has 145 kW/t. Don't state things as fact if you don't really know.
